WYANDANCH, NY — Wyandanch Family Day, a celebrated tradition in the community, marked its 56th anniversary with a parade and celebration that drew widespread participation and enjoyment.

The event commenced this Saturday with a vibrant parade featuring Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD) members, including Acting Police Commissioner Robert Waring, Deputy Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina, and First Precinct Inspector Brendon Forte. The parade showcased culturally diverse floats, marching bands, and first responder vehicles, highlighting the community’s rich cultural tapestry.

Following the parade, attendees gathered at Wyandanch Park for a celebration filled with music, a variety of foods, and novelty items, continuing the day’s festive atmosphere.
