BROOKLYN, NY – Police are searching for a suspect involved in a theft at the Neptune Avenue F Train station, where a visually impaired man was robbed. The incident occurred on Friday, June 7.
At about 3:50 PM, an unidentified individual, seen holding a box of candy on the platform, approached a 58-year-old visually impaired man and stealthily extracted the victim’s cellphone from his pocket. After committing the theft, the suspect fled the scene on foot and left the train station heading towards an unknown destination. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was last observed wearing a black baseball cap, a red t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and carrying a black book bag. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
