CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland Police Department successfully served an arrest warrant to 29-year-old Joshua Michael Clark Sr. yesterday, in relation to a recent theft incident. The arrest was made in connection to a theft that occurred on June 17, around 7:35 PM, on the 100 block of Virginia Avenue.

The incident began when the victim reported his phone stolen by Clark. The investigation revealed that Clark used the stolen phone to contact someone under a protective order against him. After evading police by fleeing on foot on Williams Street, charges were filed against him in the District Court of Allegany County. Clark now faces charges of theft ranging from $100 to under $1500, violating a protective order, and obstructing and hindering police efforts.

Following his arrest, Clark was transported to Central Booking, appeared before a District Court Commissioner, and was subsequently held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.
