Annapolis, MD — The Annapolis Police Department responded to multiple incidents over the past few days, involving thefts and an aggravated assault.
On June 30, at the Safeway on Forest Drive, a complainant reported observing a white male and a black female at the self-checkout register. The male failed to scan several items from his cart, became irate, and left the store without paying, bypassing all points of sale (Incident Number: 202400013632).
Also on June 30, at Gritz Liquors on West Street, a black male, approximately 6’3″ with a medium complexion, entered the store wearing a grey hoodie and grey pants. He took a bottle of Espolon Blanco Tequila and a bottle of Don Julio Blanco Tequila, left the store without paying, and fled the scene (Incident Number: 202400013702).
On July 1, at 4:30 AM, officers responded to an aggravated assault report at the 1100 block of Primrose Road. The victim reported an argument with the suspect, identified as Jose Pineda Delcid. During the altercation, Pineda Delcid brandished a knife, held it to the victim’s ribs, and threatened to kill him. Pineda Delcid was arrested and transported to the Anne Arundel County Detention Center. He has been charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault (Incident Number: 202400013718).
