Pittsburgh Police Arrest Suspect in July Non-Fatal Shooting in East Liberty

PITTSBURGH, PA — Detectives from the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Violent Crime Unit, with the assistance of Allegheny County Probation, have arrested Donnie Green, 38, in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred on July 8, 2024, in East Liberty. Green was apprehended just before 3 p.m. on August 22 in the 4900 block of Steubenville Pike.

The shooting took place in the 6200 block of Broad Street, where a woman was injured. Green now faces several charges, including Criminal Attempt Homicide, Persons Not To Possess a Firearm, Aggravated Assault, and Carrying a Firearm Without a License.

This arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation, as authorities continue to work to bring those involved in violent crimes to justice.
