Akron player scores $50K in Ohio Lottery’s Billion game

AKRON, Ohio — An Akron resident, Donald, has won $50,000 playing the Ohio Lottery’s Billion scratch-off game. He purchased the winning ticket at a BP gas station located at 579 N. Main Street in Akron.

After taxes, Donald will take home approximately $36,000 from his prize.

Billion is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $1 million per year for 20 years. As of September 4, three top prizes remain unclaimed.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $32 billion to support education in the state.
