by Breaking Local News Report

BALTIMORE — A traffic stop led to the arrest of three individuals, including the recovery of two firearms, in Baltimore’s Central District on Thursday night, according to police.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 3, detectives with the Central District’s DAT unit stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of Harford Avenue, occupied by two unidentified males. The driver, a 20-year-old man, fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly after, hiding in a closet in a nearby residence on Abbott Court. A 40-year-old woman at the residence was also arrested for interfering with the pursuit.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found a Ruger LCP .380 handgun under the driver’s seat. A subsequent pat down of the passenger, a 24-year-old male, revealed a Glock 23 in his satchel.

All three suspects were arrested without further incident and transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility (CBIF) for processing. The investigation is ongoing.
