Sandusky woman wins $1 million on Ohio Lottery’s Cashword scratch-off

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Pamela is celebrating a major lottery win after claiming the $1 million top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off ticket, purchased at Hy-Miler #2204 on Milan Road in Sandusky.

Opting for the cash payout, Pamela will receive a lump sum of $500,000. After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28%, she will take home approximately $360,000.

The $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off is a $20 ticket that offers winners the choice between an annuity of $40,000 a year for 25 years or a one-time cash option.
