Stafford, VA – A disturbance involving juveniles escalated on Sunday evening, leading to law enforcement intervention and subsequent charges.

On Sunday at approximately 4:49 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Kendrick Court in response to reports of a large-scale brawl involving between ten to twenty juveniles. Upon arrival, some individuals dispersed while deputies attempted to ascertain the situation with those who remained at the scene.

During the investigation, both juveniles and adults returned in an agitated manner, prompting deputies to detain those involved to prevent further altercations. Amid attempts to de-escalate, a juvenile assaulted a deputy before the situation was calmed. Deputies learned the initial cause of their dispatch to Kendrick Court.

The inquiry revealed that two juveniles had an altercation earlier in the day, leading one to confront the other later with a 19-year-old family member present. This confrontation resulted in further violence, with the 19-year-old becoming involved by assaulting a juvenile and using a Stanley Cup and a pepper spray bottle.

Charges brought against the 19-year-old include two counts of assault and battery, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
