AAA expands reporting to include EV charging rates, tracks fuel costs for all drivers
TRENTON, N.J. — It was just a few months ago, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were promising Americans cheaper energy costs. Gas was nearing $2.75 per gallon for unleaded in New Jersey, but now, prices are tetering at the $3 per gallon mark.
In New Jersey, the current average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.97, according to AAA’s updated tracker, marking a slight decrease from $2.98 yesterday and $2.99 a week ago. Gasoline prices have remained relatively stable in recent months, with only a small increase from the average of $2.92 recorded last month. However, they are stuck in the middle of the $2.75 low earlier this fall and the $3.26 high a year ago.
