TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Residents struggling with utility bills will have an opportunity to connect with assistance programs during Ocean County Utility Assistance Day, a free community event scheduled for February 19.
The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ocean County Library, located at 101 Washington Street in Toms River. Representatives from various organizations will be available to answer questions and provide information on available grant programs.
Program partners include New Jersey Natural Gas, Jersey Central Power & Light, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Ocean Inc., NJ SHARES, the New Jersey Department of Human Services, and Catholic Charities. Attendees will receive guidance on financial aid options to help manage utility costs.
