Police raid vape shop in North Huntingdon Township

by Breaking Local News Report

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A North Huntingdon Township vape shop was raided Wednesday after a months-long investigation into the illegal sale of controlled substances and underage sales, authorities said.

Local police, Westmoreland County detectives, and state agents with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Star Smoke and Vape on Route 30 following a series of undercover purchases. Investigators said employees were selling to individuals under 21 and distributing products containing illegal levels of Delta 8, Delta 9, and THCA.

Pennsylvania law requires individuals to be over 21 to legally purchase Delta 9 products. Authorities seized large quantities of controlled substances from the business as part of the operation.

The raid was the result of a coordinated effort between multiple agencies working to address illegal activity in the community.
