Teaneck man arrested after loaded stolen handgun found during traffic stop

by Breaking Local News Report

TEANECK, N.J. — A routine traffic stop in Teaneck led to the arrest of a local man found in possession of a loaded, stolen handgun, police said.

Officers pulled over Ross Daniels-Lynn on Cedar Lane at approximately 10:52 a.m. on Monday, February 10, after observing multiple motor vehicle violations, including fictitious plates and windshield obstruction. During the stop, police determined the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.

Daniels-Lynn, who was unable to provide identification, was ordered out of the vehicle. As he exited, Officer James Zwerling noticed a bulge in his sweatshirt pocket and, upon a pat-down search, discovered a loaded SCCY CPX-2 9-millimeter handgun. The firearm contained a magazine loaded with eight rounds, including four hollow-point bullets, and was later determined to be stolen.

Daniels-Lynn was taken into custody without incident as police continue efforts to remove illegal firearms from the streets.
