Teen girl missing in Dutchess County; authorities launch extensive search

Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate the missing teen as searches continue in Dutchess County.

BEEKMAN, N.Y. — The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl last seen on Sunday at 5:45 p.m. near Roosevelt Drive in the Town of Beekman. She left the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Authorities have deployed multiple resources, including the Sheriff’s Office Unmanned Aircraft Unit, patrol members, detectives, and a K9 Unit. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety is also assisting with a helicopter search.

Officials are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office at 845-486-3800.
