Columbus fraudster sought after failed rental scheme

COLUMBUS, OH – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a case of identity fraud reported earlier this week in the city’s east side.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, when the individual entered a business located in the 1500 block of Burstock Road and attempted to use fraudulent information in an effort to obtain housing.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspect and are actively working to confirm their identity. No further details have been released about the false documents or the business involved.
