TOMS RIVER, N.J. — With warm weather on the horizon, Toms River Township is rolling out preseason discounts on summer recreation passes, including beach badges, pool memberships, and kayak storage rentals.

Discounts available for veterans, seniors

Beach badges are now available at discounted preseason prices at several municipal locations, including the Recreation Office, Senior Center, and Tax Collector’s Office. Veterans and active military personnel can receive free badges for themselves and their immediate family by presenting proof of service at the Recreation Office. Seniors aged 62 and older are eligible for a lifetime beach pass with proof of age.

Snug Harbor Pool memberships are also being offered at reduced rates during the preseason. Passes must be purchased in person at the Recreation Office during business hours. Season pass holders will receive a photo ID to scan at the pool’s entrance. Daily entry passes will be available for purchase at the pool during the season.

Kayak storage nearing capacity

Toms River Township also reported that its kayak storage racks are nearing full capacity. Residents are encouraged to secure space via the Community Pass system on the Recreation Department’s website. Availability is limited and is expected to sell out soon.

All transactions for discounted seasonal passes must be completed in person, except for kayak storage, which can be reserved online. Veterans and active military can also obtain a 50% discount on Snug Harbor Pool memberships by providing appropriate service documentation.
