Victim hospitalized after violent attack
The brutal incident occurred around 3 a.m. near 162nd Street and 89th Avenue, according to the NYPD. Authorities said an unidentified male approached the victim from behind, displayed a knife, and then forcibly raped her. After the attack, the suspect fled southbound on 89th Avenue.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she is listed in stable condition. Police have not released further medical details but confirmed that the victim was able to provide a description of the attacker.
Suspect description released
Police released a detailed description of the suspect in hopes of identifying and apprehending him. The attacker is described as a male with light skin, approximately 20 to 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a thin build and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a white Adidas logo, Air Jordan 3 black and white sneakers, a black sweatshirt with red lettering that read “Scary Ghost Face,” and black pants.

The NYPD Special Victims Division is leading the investigation and is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not indicated whether surveillance footage exists of the attack or the suspect fleeing the scene.
