Parma Heights, Ohio — A lucky Ohio Lottery player scored a $20,000 prize after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket at a local Parma Heights retailer, officials announced.
The winning ticket was sold at Dairy Deli, located at 6219 W 130th Street. The prize comes from the VIP Millions game, a $50 scratch-off that offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of May 1, 38 top prizes remain unclaimed in the game.
After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $14,400.
The Ohio Lottery has not disclosed the name of the winner. All lottery winners in the state have up to 180 days from the game’s announced closing date to claim prizes.
Dairy Deli joins a growing list of Ohio retailers that have recently sold high-value scratch-off tickets in the VIP Millions series.
