DUNDALK, Md. — A longtime Maryland Lottery player is celebrating a huge windfall after taking home the first progressive jackpot on the FAST PLAY Super 777 game, claiming a $685,656 prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.

On May 9, the longtime Maryland Lottery player purchased the winning ticket at Quick Mart on Wise Avenue in Dundalk, just moments after winning $20 on a scratch-off ticket. The 777-themed ticket triggered an alert instructing him to visit Maryland Lottery headquarters, where he later claimed the six-figure prize using the nickname “Blessed.”

According to the Lottery, the winner plans to use the funds to support his children and grandchildren with summer trips and to invest for the future. The retailer received a $685.65 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

FAST PLAY Super 777, launched in September, starts with a $200,000 jackpot that increases with each ticket sold until a progressive winner is drawn.
