FREEHOLD, N.J. — The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners has approved a series of contracts totaling more than $7.5 million during its most recent meeting, covering energy supply agreements, public safety equipment, and infrastructure materials.
The largest of the awards was a $6,945,881.31 agreement with Approved Energy II, LLC to provide electric supply services for the county’s CIEP and RSCP accounts over a 19-month period. A separate energy supply contract valued at $36,525.22 was approved with WGL Energy Services, Inc. for lighting accounts in Bid Group 3.
The board also authorized multiple contracts tied to emergency services. P.L. Custom Body and Equipment Co., Inc. was awarded a $25,240 contract to furnish parts and perform body repairs related to emergency vehicle chassis upfits for the county’s Division of Fleet Services. The agreement runs through the end of 2025 and includes two one-year renewal options.
Public safety and infrastructure contracts awarded
Action Uniform Co. LLC received two contracts, one for $84,430 to supply various academy uniforms and gear for multiple county divisions, and another for $283,457 to provide emergency medical services uniforms and equipment for the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office through June 30, 2026.
In addition, the commissioners approved a $195,380 contract with Road Safety Systems LLC for the delivery of replacement beam guide rail materials and parts for the county’s Division of Bridges.
Each of the six contracts is intended to maintain continuity of services and equipment for the county’s operations through competitive bid processes.
