MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Myrtle Beach Police have arrested four individuals in connection with a series of armed robberies that occurred overnight from late Tuesday into early Wednesday.
The first incident took place in the 1100 block of Celebrity Circle, where two victims were approached by armed suspects while in their vehicle and robbed in a parking lot.
Shortly afterward, a second armed robbery occurred in the 2200 block of North Ocean Boulevard. In that case, two individuals robbed a man at gunpoint in a parking area before fleeing the scene.
The third incident was reported in the 4000 block of North Kings Highway, where a man was confronted by two suspects attempting to enter his vehicle at gunpoint. The victim managed to escape by driving away.
In another case, a man was taken at gunpoint from a parking lot in the 6600 block of Colonial Drive. He was forced to withdraw cash from an ATM and then released.
Police urge community cooperation as investigation continues
A fifth and final robbery took place in the 800 block of 65th Avenue North, where a female victim was held at gunpoint and robbed. Myrtle Beach Police have confirmed that all five incidents occurred within a span of several hours between late May 13 and early May 14.
Authorities said four individuals have been arrested in connection with the robberies. Their identities and potential charges have not yet been released.
