WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 32-year-old man was killed in a late-night shooting on Elvans Road in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Just after 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, Seventh District officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE. When they arrived, officers found an adult male unconscious and not breathing, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS arrived shortly after and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Ricky Jones, a resident of Southeast D.C.
No suspects or motive have been identified as of Thursday. The case remains under active investigation by the department’s Homicide Branch.
