NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Police say a North Charleston “woman” was arrested Wednesday on a charge of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor following the execution of a search warrant at her home, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
Jillian Johnell Maxner, 43, was taken into custody at her residence in the 3300 block of Stonybrook Road on May 28 after investigators served a warrant connected to an active investigation involving child exploitation material.
Authorities said Maxner was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree, a felony offense under South Carolina law that involves knowingly distributing, possessing, or manufacturing child sexual abuse material.
While the police identified Maxner as a woman, ‘her’ voting record in Florida identifies her as a white/Hispanic male, and a registered member of the Democrat party.
Following her arrest, Maxner was booked at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center, where she remains pending a bond hearing. Officials have not released further details regarding the ongoing investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, the arrest followed standard procedure with the affidavit outlining the basis for the charge. No additional suspects have been named at this time.
