ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Three people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning outside a business on Airport Road, according to the Allentown Police Department.

Police said officers from the Fourth Platoon responded to the 1100 block of Airport Road around 2 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. First aid was rendered at the scene, and the victim was taken to a local hospital.

Two more individuals later arrived at area hospitals, also suffering from non-life-threatening injuries related to the same incident. All three victims are expected to recover.

During the investigation, officers observed a person discard a firearm under a vehicle near the scene. That individual was identified as Javian Anthony Sabater, 24, of Bethlehem.

Suspect faces firearm possession and evidence tampering charges

Sabater was charged with being a person not to possess a firearm and with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. The police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.

“There is no danger to the community at this time,” the department said in its statement.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Allentown Detectives at 610-437-7721 or use the Tip411 app for anonymous submissions. The department also directed the public to its Facebook page and official website for updates.
