STATEN ISLAND, NY — A Richmond County resident has claimed a second prize in the CASH4LIFE lottery game, securing a guaranteed minimum payout of $1 million after matching all six numbers in the February 24 drawing.
Carmine Lupo of Staten Island matched the five main numbers and the Cash Ball — 15, 36, 47, 52, 56, and Cash Ball 02 — to win the second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life. Lupo opted to receive the cash value of the prize, resulting in a single lump sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Arden Shell, located at 1769 Arthur Kill Road.
CASH4LIFE contributes to statewide education funding
The New York Lottery’s CASH4LIFE game generated over $116 million in sales during the 2023–2024 fiscal year. During that same period, more than $1.1 billion in Lottery Aid to Education funds were distributed to school districts across New York City’s five boroughs.
The New York Lottery remains the highest-grossing lottery in North America, contributing $3.8 billion last fiscal year to benefit public schools statewide.
