Pennsylvania ticket hits $200K Powerball payday

Powerball jackpot lands $200K win for Pennsylvania ticket holder

by Local News Report

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Powerball ticket sold in Union County has scored a $200,000 prize after matching four white balls and the red Powerball in Sunday’s drawing, Pennsylvania Lottery officials said Tuesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 2114 Old Turnpike Road in East Buffalo Township. The numbers drawn were 30, 33, 40, 43, 52 and the Powerball 25.

While the standard payout for that match is $50,000, the ticket holder opted for the $1 Power Play feature, which multiplied the prize by four, pushing the total to $200,000 before taxes.

The winner has not yet come forward. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket. Players have up to one year from the draw date to claim prizes.

More than 16,000 additional Powerball tickets purchased in Pennsylvania also won prizes in the June 9 drawing, including over 3,200 with Power Play and more than 2,200 using Double Play.

Powerball jackpot resets as players urged to check tickets

The Powerball jackpot has reset to an estimated $65 million annuity, or $29.2 million lump sum, ahead of Wednesday’s drawing.

Lottery officials reminded players to sign the back of paper tickets and follow claim procedures. Online winners will see funds automatically added to their lottery account after validation.

The Pennsylvania Lottery allows both in-store and online ticket purchases. Full prize claim details and retailer information can be found on the Lottery’s official website.

The identity of the $200,000 Union County winner will remain confidential until the ticket is officially claimed and validated.
