Newark police seek public’s help identifying bike theft suspect

Newark authorities are asking for help identifying a suspect connected to the theft of a Trek aluminum bicycle from a building on Madison Street near Downing Street.

The bike was last seen by the victim around 6 p.m. on July 24 and was discovered missing at 6:50 a.m. the next day. Investigators reviewing surveillance footage saw a man enter the building’s first-floor parking lot and remove the bicycle from a rack.
