Northampton County man found guilty of 51 felonies for child sexual abuse material

A Northampton County jury convicted a Mount Bethel man of more than 50 felony charges related to child sexual abuse material after a weeklong trial.

Ricky Raisner, 67, was found guilty Thursday of 50 counts of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. His bail was immediately revoked, and sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 17.

The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General said its Child Predator Section began investigating Raisner after receiving a tip. Investigators traced an IP address to his home, executed a search warrant, and seized devices containing child sexual abuse material.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Michelle Laucella.

Attorney General Dave Sunday said his office remains committed to targeting individuals who collect and share these materials, emphasizing the harm caused to the victims depicted.
