A late-night disturbance at a Royal Farms in Stafford ended with a woman facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting four deputies.
Around 10:59 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the convenience store at 125 Royal Falls Drive for reports of an intoxicated woman yelling at employees. The suspect, later identified as 35-year-old Candice Berryman, told deputies she was there to look at “seasonings.”
When deputies attempted to arrest her for public intoxication, Berryman allegedly kicked one deputy, then continued to kick two others and spit on a fourth as they attempted to restrain her. She was eventually taken into custody and transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Berryman was charged with four counts of assault and battery on law enforcement, obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. She was ordered held without bond.
