Washington, DC – A man sitting in his parked car on Minnesota Avenue was ambushed by two armed suspects who demanded he exit the vehicle before striking him in the head with a firearm and driving off in his car.
The incident happened on Sunday, July 27, at approximately 9:27 p.m. in the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue NE. Sixth District officers responded to the scene and learned that the suspects had approached the vehicle, brandished handguns, and forced the victim out. After being hit with one of the weapons, the victim watched as both suspects fled in his car.
The vehicle has since been recovered, and the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance footage captured images of both suspects, which have been released by police in an effort to generate leads.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
