Silver Spring man arrested in connection with May shooting incident in Northeast DC

Washington, DC – A 24-year-old man from Silver Spring, Maryland, has been arrested in connection with a May assault in which gunfire was directed at victims during a late-night dispute in Northeast DC.

The incident occurred on Monday, May 12, at approximately 11:50 p.m. in the 1900 block of Bennett Place NE. Fifth District officers responded after reports of gunshots and found victims who said the suspect fired a gun at them following an argument. No injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the area after the shots were fired.

On Tuesday, August 12, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Nebiy Boreshe pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. He has been charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
