Man arrested after fatal stabbing during early morning dispute in Baltimore County
Towson, MD – A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in the early morning hours Monday following a violent dispute in a Parkville neighborhood, with Baltimore County Police taking a suspect into custody at the scene.
Around 4:05 a.m., officers were called to the 1700 block of Edgewood Road for a check location call. When they arrived, they found both the victim and the suspect still at the scene. The victim, identified as Ebrima Loppy, had suffered a stab wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead on site.
Homicide detectives believe the deadly incident stemmed from a dispute between the two men and was not a random act. Authorities say the situation was isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested at the scene. Charges are pending as investigators continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
