The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating an overnight shooting death in Hamilton Township, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Hamilton police responded to a shooting at the 7-11 on Lalor Street. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, identified as 23-year-old Katherine Montenegro of Trenton, on the ground in the parking lot suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
