A Powerball Double Play ticket worth $50,000 was purchased at a Yonkers retailer for Wednesday night’s drawing.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A New York Lottery player is holding a $50,000 winning Powerball Double Play ticket after it was sold in Yonkers for the July 1 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Central Park Food Corp, located at 414 McLean Ave. in Yonkers.

The prize was won in the Powerball Double Play drawing, a $1 add-on feature that gives players a second chance to win using the same numbers played in the regular Powerball drawing.

Double Play drawings are held approximately 30 minutes after every Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The game offers prizes ranging from $7 to a top prize of $10 million.

New York Lottery officials did not release information about the ticket holder.
