7-year-old with facial injuries rushed to trauma center after dog bite

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Tuesday, at 6:43 pm Little Egg Harbor Twp. Police were dispatched to an address on Falcon Dr. in reference to a dog bite. When officers arrived on the scene they made contact with the 7-year-old juvenile male victim who had been bitten in the face and was bleeding.

Officers provided immediate first aid to the juvenile who was then transported by ambulance to the Southern Ocean County Medical Center. Due to the extent of the juvenile’s facial injuries, he was then transported by helicopter to the Jersey Shore Medical Center where he is being treated and is in stable condition. The incident is under investigation by the Little Egg Harbor Twp. Police Detective Bureau.
