ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Aberdeen Township is set to kick off the holiday season Tuesday evening with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration at Town Hall, complete with family activities, live entertainment, and a visit from Santa Claus.

The event will take place from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at 1 Aberdeen Square, featuring Clydesdale horse wagon rides, an iceless skating rink, a holiday market, and a performance by Cliffwood Elementary students.

Officials say the celebration will also include readings by Mickey Mouse, costumed characters, fire pits with s’mores, inflatables, and festive treats such as pretzels and hot cocoa.

To ensure safety for pedestrians and attendees, Church Street directly in front of Police Headquarters and Town Hall will be closed to traffic between Bailey Street and Atlantic Avenue from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
