It was a royal Valentine’s Day announcement as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, now living in the United States announced that Meghan Markle is pregnant with her second child.    The couple has one child, Archie.  In 2020, Markle suffered a miscarriage.

“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,” a spokesperson for the royal couple told People Magazine.

You may not have ever heard of Rob Gill. He’s a “progressive” influencer and comedian who joined the unhinged left in the wake of the U.S. Senate acquittal of President Donald J. Trump.   While Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer took to Twitter for incoherent rants after Trump’s acquittal, one of their followers, Gill, took to Twitter to threaten every Republican who voted to exonerate Trump.

“PSA: Everyone MUST go after every senator who voted “Not Guilty”,” Gill demanded. “Go after EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES!”

Shortly after posting that tweet, Gill went into hiding, making his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook profiles private as he faced backlash for his comment.

It’s not sure how many people got Gill’s message. The influencer has only 31,000 followers on his now blocked Twitter page.  Gill is not an American.  He is actually Candian, hailing from Southern Ontario.

FRESNO, CA – On February 11, 2021, 40-year-old Nathan Daniel Larson of Catlett, Virginia arrived at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Law enforcement agents with Fresno County’s Transportation Unit escorted Larson in on a flight from Denver, CO.

He had been in a Denver Jail since December 14th while awaiting extradition. He will be booked into the Fresno County Jail on the following felony charges: Kidnapping, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity, online coercion and enticement, sexual exploitation of a minor, receiving and distributing child [censored]ography. Larson is not eligible for bail. He is due in court on Wednesday, February 17.

On the morning of Monday, December 14th, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and Fresno Police Department received a report of a missing 12-year-old Fresno girl.

During the early portion of the investigation, detectives developed information that the girl may have been coerced into running away with an older man. A man she had met through social media in mid-October.

The information pointed to the girl possibly heading to Fresno Yosemite International Airport to catch a cross-country flight to Virginia to be with this man. Due to the nature of the circumstance of this case, detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force took over the investigation. Detectives received assistance from members of Fresno Airport Police and Homeland Security Investigations who revealed a man, later identified to be Nathan Larson, was seen with a young girl and the two boarded a plane bound for Washington DC.

This flight was scheduled to have a layover in Denver, so detectives contacted law enforcement authorities there and asked that they check the airport for Larson and the child. A Denver Police officer assigned to the local FBI Task Force located Larson and arrested him. Agents rescued the girl, who was uninjured, and made arrangements to have her reunited with her family in Fresno, which she was later on Monday night.

Once in custody, detectives learned more about the how abduction took place. Larson flew to Fresno from Virginia and then traveled to the girl’s home. He persuaded her to sneak out of her house around 2:00 am. He used a ride share company to pick her up and together they rode to the Fresno Airport. Larson told her to act as though she was disabled and unable to speak to ensure she would not converse with anyone at the airport while making their way onto the airplane.

On December 17th, Fauquier County (VA) Sheriff’s detectives, agents with Homeland Security Investigations and the Northern Virginia / District of Columbia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force seized electronic devices while executing a search warrant at Larson’s home located on the 9200 block of Prospect Ave. in Catlett, VA. While at the house, Larson’s father, 69-year-old Arthur Larson, assaulted a HSI agent. He was arrested for assault and battery and later released from jail after posting bond.

During the investigation, detectives uncovered Nathan Larson has a deeply disturbing background. He is a white supremacist and a well-known advocate for pedophilia. This is a man who runs a website, which encourages the raping of children and sharing of naked photos and video of children being raped. During the past two months, Larson was able to convince the Fresno girl, through manipulation and grooming, to send him [censored]ographic images of herself.

In 2017, Larson ran for political office as an independent, seeking to become a member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 31. He went on to lose the race.
In December 2008, while living in Boulder, Colorado, Larson sent a detailed email to the U.S. Secret Service threatening to kill the President of the United States. At the time, George Bush was the outgoing president and Barack Obama was the incoming president. Larson pleaded guilty in federal court. In October 2009, he was sentenced to 16 months in a federal prison and wound up serving 14 months.

Due to the sophisticated nature of how Larson groomed this Fresno girl, detectives believe he has victimized other children in the past, but those cases have never been reported to law enforcement. If you or someone you know have ever had inappropriate contact with Nathan Larson, you are asked to contact Fresno County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Brandon Pursell at (559) 600-8029, [email protected] or Sergeant Chad Stokes at (559) 600-8144, [email protected]

Law enforcement would like to remind the public to be vigilant when it comes to visiting websites and social media outlets. Parents should also monitor their children’s internet usage and be aware of the software apps they are using. Parents should keep the dialogue open with their children in order to build trust. Online predators often pretend to be someone else in order to lure their victims in and take advantage of them. Teach children to be wary of the person on the other end of the chat line; many times people are not who they say they are. Report any suspicious behavior right away to law enforcement or file a cyber tip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. https://report.cybertip.org/ You may also contact HSI at (866) 347-2423.

ICAC is comprised of 64 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies spread throughout nine counties in the Central Valley. It is dedicated to protecting children online and investigating crimes committed against children, which are facilitated by the Internet and computer usage.

BEDFORD, VA – The Liberty High School Minutemen of Bedford, Virginia don’t win too many state championships, but the school is very proud of the five titles they have won dating back to 1977.  That’s why the community was upset after a vandal stole the top of the sign honoring those few and far between, hard-fought victories.

“We need your help. We were notified on February 9, 2021, that the top portion of the Liberty High School championship sign was stolen,” the Bedford Police Department said. “The sign is located at the intersection of Longwood Ave. and Valleyview Dr. in the Town of Bedford. The portion that reads “Liberty High School Minutemen State Championships Bedford, Virginia” is what was taken.”

Some witnesses have reported that the sign was not stolen, but was seen blowing across the highway a few days earlier.

It’s bad enough when last year’s softball team won the only state championship for your school in the past twenty or so years, but more embarrassing is finding out somebody stole what little sports pride the school has.

Here’s to turning things around in 2021.

If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact Sergeant J.W. Dooley with the Bedford Police Department. 540-587-6015 or 540-586-7827.

TULSA, OK -A driver in a rush here in Tulsa thought it would be a great idea to pass an operating snowplow.  Tulsa police said it wasn’t such a great idea.

“Earlier a car collided with one of the City’s trucks, the drivers of the plows tell us that people are following them very closely,” the department said in a statement. “Please make sure to give all of the crews working plenty of room, we don’t want to see anyone hurt and we need all of those trucks to stay operational.”

Police advise residents to stay in their homes and not travel during extreme inclimate weather to avoid being crushed by a snow plow.

“The driver of the SUV was attempting to pass the truck when they lost control, hit the curb, then hit with the plow on the front of the truck,” the department said. “These multi-ton vehicles are the whales of the road and cannot stop on a dime…someone will have to fact check that, can whales stop on a dime?”

SUNSHINE KEY, FL –  Did you know that taking live conch out of the waters in and around Florida is illegal?  One poacher near Sunset Key found out the hard way, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

CONCH POACHING IS ILLEGAL IN FLORIDA

“A Miami-Dade County man was given a mandatory notice to appear in court citation Saturday for possessing protected conch,” the department said today. “Marine Deputy Willie Guerra was on patrol near Sunshine Key near Mile Marker 38 at approximately 6 p.m. when he saw two men dragging a canoe with fishing rods inside.”

Both men denied having any fish or other wildlife. Deputy Guerra spotted four live queen conchs inside the canoe. One of the men — Markus Dyer, 31, of Miami-Dade County — stated he didn’t know the conch were alive. The other man denied taking any of the conch.

Dyer was cited and the conch were returned to the water.

CAN I PICK UP CONCH SHELLS ON THE BEACH?

Under Florida law, the “Queen Conch” is a protected species and while you can pick up shells along the beach if you find one that has died and washed ashore, taking live conch is against the law.

Queen conch has been listed in Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) since 1992.

CONCH IN U.S. AND CARRIBEAN CULTURE

According to the U.S. Department of Fish and Wildlife, Queen conch meat is consumed domestically throughout the Caribbean and exported as a delicacy. Conch shells and shell jewelry are sold to tourists and the live animals are used for the aquarium trade. Their slow growth, occurrence in shallow waters and late maturation make queen conch particularly susceptible to over-fishing, their greatest threat. Habitat degradation, over-fishing, and the use of SCUBA have led to harvest of previously unexploited populations in deeper waters.

Queen conch was once found in high numbers in the Florida Keys but, due to a collapse in conch fisheries in the 1970s, it is now illegal to commercially or recreationally harvest queen conch in that state. The United States is responsible for the consumption of 80% of the world’s internationally traded queen conch.

QUEENS, NY –  A man described as a ‘right wing activist’ has been indicated for his January 4th bomb scare at a Queens mall along with his accomplice.  It is suspected that he left a Black Lives Matter sign in a Tesla rigged to look like a car bomb in an attempt to discredit the BLM movement.

When he was arrested in January, he had a “Hitler” style moustache.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced today that Louis Shenker, 22, and Taylor Lyne, 27, have been indicted by a Queens County grand jury for making a terroristic threat and other felony charges for allegedly planting a fake bomb on top of a car at the Queens Place Mall in Elmhurst, Queens on January 4, 2021. Shenker turned himself in to police hours later. His co-defendant, Lyne, was arrested and arraigned on the indictment on February 1, 2021.

District Attorney Katz said, “There is nothing amusing about a bomb hoax, and the defendants now face very serious charges. Planting a fake explosive in a shopping center creates chaos and fear and these two men are accused of setting up a device to look like a bomb and then fleeing the scene.”

Defendant Shenker, of Amherst, Massachusetts, was arraigned today before Queens Supreme Court Justice John Zoll on an indictment charging him with placing a false bomb or hazardous substance in a sports stadium or arena, mass transportation facility, or enclosed shopping mall, making a terroristic threat and abandonment of an animal.

Defendant Lyne, of Santa Rosa, California, was also arraigned before Justice Zoll last Monday on the same indictment. The two men are scheduled to return to Court on March 3, 2021. If convicted, Shenker and Lyne each face 7 years in prison.

According to the charges, on January 4, 2021 at approximately 4:50 a.m., the two men were seen in the Queens Place Mall parking garage standing next to a black Tesla with a Nevada loaner license plate. The vehicle had its front hood, trunk and doors open.

The two men had allegedly connected an electric-powered bike to the car. Continuing, said DA Katz, about two hours later the Black Tesla was observed by an employee of the mall covered in blankets, cardboard boxes with a Black Lives Matter sign attached and a dog inside the vehicle.

Atop the car was a device with wires protruding from it and other mechanisms that made it look like a bomb set to explode. This hoax forced the evacuation of the shopping center, businesses had to close and both foot traffic and motorists were blocked from entering the busy Queens Boulevard corridor.

The DA said an NYPD investigation determined the device was not an explosive but was instead a hoax device. The investigation was conducted by Detective Daniel Brady of the NYPD’s Arson and Explosion Squad under the supervision of Lieutenant Carlos Lopez, Commanding Officer along with the assistance of Detective Sean Mulcahy, of the NYPD’s Bomb Squad, under the supervision of Lieutenant Mark Torre, Commanding Officer.

QUEENS, NY  – Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced that Alhusene Danso, 20, has been arraigned in Supreme Court following a Queens County grand jury handed up an indictment charging the defendant with robbery and assault for a vicious attack on an octogenarian. The victim was attacked as she exited her parking garage in Forest Hills on January 3, 2021.

District Attorney Katz said, “This defendant is accused of brutalizing an elderly woman for the contents of her purse. Not only did the defendant allegedly grab the 83-year-old woman’s bag, but he also shoved her so hard to the ground that two bones in her arm were shattered.

This cowardly attack on this woman – old enough to be a great-grandmother – has the defendant facing very serious charges.” Danso, of Washington Avenue in the Bronx, was arraigned today before Queens Supreme Court Justice Ushir Pandit-Durant on a seven-count indictment charging the defendant with robbery in the second degree, assault in the second and third-degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of the stolen property in the fourth and fifth-degree.

Justice Pandit-Durant set the defendant’s return date for March 25, 2021. If convicted, Danso faces up to 25 years in prison. District Attorney Katz said, on Sunday evening, January 3, 2020, that the 83-year-old victim was walking on Queens Boulevard near the intersection of 112th Street in Forest Hills, Queens.

Without warning, the defendant jumped out of an SUV and allegedly pushed the elderly woman to the ground, causing her elbow to shatter. The defendant then took the victim’s purse which contained a small amount of cash, her cellphone, an ATM card, credit card and her personal identification. The defendant allegedly got back into the dark-colored vehicle and fled the scene.DA Katz said, the victim was taken to a local hospital where she was admitted and treated for her injuries.

According to the charges, surveillance video footage recorded later that day shows Danso allegedly attempting to use the victim’s ATM card at a Bronx bodega.

2 Senior Assistant District Attorney Laura Weinstock, of the District Attorney’s Special Victims Bureau, is prosecuting the case under the supervision of Assistant District Attorneys Eric C. Rosenbaum, Bureau Chief, Debra Lynn Pomodore and Brian C. Hughes, Deputy Bureau Chiefs, and under the overall supervision of Executive Assistant District Attorney for Major Crimes Daniel A.
