FOXBORO, MA –   The Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots will face off tonight to close out the 2020 NFL Monday Night Football schedule. The last Monday night game of the regular season takes place at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA.

“It has been the changing of the guard in the AFC East as the Bills are the Division Champs for the first time since 1995,” said Joe Wiz.  “Buffalo is led by QB Josh Allen who has established himself as one of the elite QBs in the entire NFL and a true MVP candidate.”

This season, Allen has 39 touchdown passes, just 9 interceptions, and 8 rushing touchdowns. In his last game, Allen torched the Broncos as he had four touchdowns to lead the Bills in a 48-19 Win.

“New England lost any hope of keeping its slim play hopes alive when then lost at Miami last week 22-12,” Wiz added. “In the last two games, they have been outscored 46-15. This also snapped the Pats record of 11 straight years of making the playoffs.”

We’re not sure what to expect from the Patriots tonight with Head Coach Bill Belichick now exploring his quarterback options.

“Will he ride the entire game with Newton or get some snaps for back up Stidham?” Wiz said is a critical question ahead of the game for bettors.  “One thing we do know the Pats are 10-1 ATS as home dogs their last 11 games and 16-2 ATS as a dog off a loss.”

Right Now the Bills occupy the #2 seed and would like to protect that position in the event Kansas City falters. Then, the Bills would secure home-field advantage in frigid Orchard Park in January.

Buffalo beat New England on November 1st in a hard-fought 24-21 contest.   The Bills have won four in a row and seven of their last game games, their only loss in the last two months was that Hail Mary at Arizona. The updated line for tonight’s contest has Buffalo favored by 7 points and the Total is 46.5.

“It’s 2020 and anything can happen,” Joe Wiz said. “Will the Pats be motivated to get to a .500 season as they have the Jets up next or will Buffalo continue to press hard and carry momentum into the Playoffs?

The Patriots come into this game having played six straight unders and they don’t want to get into a shootout with the high flying Bills. The College Bowl season is in Full Swing,  Get details on the Bowl Package and NFL Playoffs.

WESTHAMPTON, NJ – New Jersey now has its first drive-thru store in the Garden State after last Friday’s public grand opening.  Located at 570 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly in Westhampton the store is a traditional full-service format with fuel, equipped with a custom drive-thru experience of two-lanes, separate order points with digital menu boards including a QR scan menu option and one point of pay and pick up window.

The new drive-thru is open from 6 am to 10 pm daily.

The store is one of two drive-thru stores being built by the company to see if the concept is viable and if more will be built in the future.

“Led by Wawa General Manager, Joseph Massiello and Area Manager John Kiernan, the team is committed to maintaining a healthy and safe environment while working to meet the needs of customers,” the company said about the new location.

Customers can also access their Wawa favorites through mobile ordering on The Wawa App with curbside pickup and ordering or through delivery service through third-party providers including Door Dash, Grub Hub, and Uber Eats.

“Wawa continues to test new store concepts with this latest drive-thru format, providing an opportunity for our customers to experience and enjoy their favorite Wawa products while remaining inside their car,” said Terri Micklin, Director of Construction. “Wawa is committed to increasing convenience and providing new options for service while keeping safety and comfort top of mind. Wawa hopes to learn from the layout, workflow and traffic flow at this location, as it continues to explore alternatives for long term application to stores post-COVID-19.”

In addition to this drive-thru, Wawa is counting down the days to its first standalone drive-thru scheduled to open on Friday, January 8, at 549 W. Trenton Avenue, Morrisville, PA in Falls Township, PA.

Both formats will continue to be evaluated while gathering feedback from customers and associates.

A socially-distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony took place outside of the store with local officials, community members, and store operation associates. It was followed by an official debut of the drive-thru window with Wally Goose filling customer orders.

As part of the celebration, a special check presentation was given to Check Out Hunger from Wawa and The Wawa Foundation’s in-store UPC scan campaign with customer contributions of $260,000 donated to support hunger relief efforts through the in-store UPC scan campaign, plus an additional $50,000 contribution made by The Wawa Foundation to provide assistance to Feeding America Food Bank affiliates to provide much-needed support to local communities before the holidays.

Customers who visited the drive-thru on opening weekend also received a limited-edition “Wawa Drive-Thru,” ornament with December 202 etched on it.

HAMPTON COUNTY, VA – Since 1992, the people of Hampton County and Newport News have elected and re-elected B.J. Roberts to serve as sheriff.  After nearly 30 years of service to the community, Roberts announced earlier this year he would be retiring from the job.  On Christmas Day, he passed away.

“It is with deep sadness that the Hampton Sheriff’s Office releases that our beloved leader, Sheriff B.J. Roberts, transitioned peacefully at his home the morning of December 26 after celebrating Christmas Day with his family,” the Hampton County Sheriff’s Department said. “Under Roberts’ leadership, the Hampton Sheriff’s Office demonstrated a Commitment to Excellence. A viral video this week shows a man, who could have possibly been under the influence, or just a complete jackass, slinging the “n-word” to a customer behind him online at a convenience store.  The man showed great restraint for quite some time while the guy in front of him went on a bizarre tirade, but in the end, justice was served swiftly.

“F— my momma, [n-word] and F— you mamma, [n-word],” the man said.  Apparently not impressed with his use of the word [n-word], the man finally had enough and popped open a can of energy drink on his forehead.  After getting his ass thoroughly beat, he realized the error of his ways.  It’s unknown when or where the video was recorded.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump today claimed elections in Afghanistan were run better than the November 2020 United States general election.  Due to COVID-19, many states opted to make the election a mail-in-ballot election causing some confusion amongst voters and leading to claims of election fraud and voter suppression by the President.

Trump claims a young military man working in the Asian nation briefed him on the election process in a country that has been ravaged by war since the 1970s.

“A young military man working in Afghanistan told me that elections in Afghanistan are far more secure and much better run than the USA’s 2020 Election,” Trump said today. “Ours, with its millions and millions of corrupt Mail-In Ballots, was the election of a third world country.”

Trump went on to call President-Elect Joe Biden, a fake president.

“Fake President!” Trump exclaimed.

According to Facebook researchers, former Vice-President Joe Biden won the 2020 election.

“Election officials follow strict rules and have found no evidence of widespread fraud,” Facebook, now an authoritative source on media fact-checking responded to the President’s claim.

Trump took a shot at the conservative-leaning Supreme Court.

“The U.S. Supreme Court has been totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. We have absolute PROOF, but they don’t want to see it – No “standing”, they say. If we have corrupt elections, we have no country,” he added also incriminating the U.S. Justice Department. “The “Justice” Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th.”

Once again, Facebook responded to Trump’s post.

“Election officials follow strict rules and have found no evidence of widespread fraud,” Facebook said.’

“If a Democrat Presidential Candidate had an Election Rigged & Stolen, with proof of such acts at a level never seen before, the Democrat Senators would consider it an act of war, and fight to the death. Mitch & the Republicans do NOTHING, just want to let it pass. NO FIGHT,” he added.

On December 23rd, the head of an election monitoring group in Afghanistan was gunned down in the nation’s capital.  Yousuf Rasheed, executive director of the Free and Fair Elections Forum of Afghanistan Organization (FEFA) was shot dead by gunmen in an ambush.  Afghanistan held a presidential election 2019.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump today took a shot at Democrat governors across America who are edging their states back into lockdown claiming those lockdowns are doing more damage than the actual coronavirus, which he referred to as the “China virus”.

“The lockdowns in Democrat-run states are absolutely ruining the lives of so many people – Far more than the damage that would be caused by the China Virus. Cases in California have risen despite the lockdown, yet Florida & others are open & doing well. Common sense please,” Trump said on Saturday.

Trump’s statement came as many Democrat governors have begun restricting private businesses such as bars and restaurants, instituting shutdowns, and curfews.

In New York City, Governor Andrew Cuomo shut down indoor dining city-wide after high rates of COVID-19 positivity was reported.  In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy shut down bar service and instituted a 10 p.m. curfew on indoor dining.   Other Democrat states have acted similarly in response to the second wave of COVID-19.

Those governors have also placed restrictions on indoor family gatherings during the holidays, most limiting events to 10 members of the same family, warning families not to travel long distances to reunite during the holiday season.

The impact of the COVID-19 restaurant restrictions is visible and hundreds of restaurants in New Jersey have shut their doors for good, unable to make ends meet with the cap on indoor dining.  Now, bars are starting to feel the financial pressure.  In New Jersey, there is no financial relief by the state to assist those businesses whether the shutdowns.

Trump’s opinion on the subject contradicts the message at the ground level being issued by those governors who claim their decisions are based on science and health guidelines to save lives.

PORTLAND, OR – Nothing says Merry Christmas like walking around the neighborhood hitting random people with a baseball bat, especially if you live in crime-ridden Portland Oregon.  We’re not sure if the new rules proposed by the city council would cover this as a crime or whether or not it was a peaceful protest, but the Portland Police Department took it seriously.

On December 22nd, 2020, at approximately 10:36 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 1100 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard on reports of an individual who had been struck in the head with a baseball bat. Officers arrived on the scene and learned a victim was walking down the street when they were struck on the head by an unknown male with a baseball bat. An intricate description of the suspect was given to officers by the victim. After hearing the description of the suspect, officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate him.

Here’s what the Portland Police Department said about the incident.

On December 23, 2020, at approximately 12:02 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the Rosa Parks Transit Station located in the 6500 block of North Interstate Avenue on reports of an individual who had attacked several people with a baseball bat. Officers arrived on the scene and learned an individual with a baseball bat had struck two victims as well as broke a TriMet Max Train window. The individual had left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival and was not located. The victims told responding officers that the suspect had struck them with a baseball bat on the shoulders and head as they exited the Max Train. The description given to officers of the suspect matched that of the suspect from the earlier call on Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. Both victims were treated at an area hospital for the injuries they sustained during the incident.

Later in the morning, Central Precinct officers received separate calls of an individual attacking people with a baseball bat near the 500 block of Northeast Everett Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they were unable to locate the suspect or any victims. At 11:53 a.m., another call came in regarding the same individual and officers were able to locate and contact him. The suspect, 53-year-old Trendlon Deneishel Kimp Brewer, was wearing a backpack that had a baseball bat sticking out from inside of it. As officers took Brewer into custody, he swung at an officer, striking their cheekbone. The officer sustained a minor injury.

Brewer was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of three counts of Assault 2, three counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Assaulting a Public Safety Officer, Interfering with a Peace Officer, and Disorderly Conduct II.

The investigation of these incidents continues to be ongoing. It is believed there may be more victims that may not have reported a similar incident. If anyone has information regarding these incidents they are asked to contact Detective Jeff McGuire at [email protected] or 503-823-0400.
