PORTLAND, OR – The Portland Police Department has been defeated in the neighborhood around North Mississippi Avenue where violent protesters have blocked off a portion of the city to outsiders.  Police now warn the public they may not be coming back and calls for fire, medical and police services might be delayed, if answered at all as leftist protesters are working towards creating a new ‘autonomous zone’ around a home where a family had recently been evicted.  Police Chief Chuck Lovell said he is employing Demonstration Liason Officers to try to discuss a peaceful outcome with the violent and unruly mob that attacked police officers earlier this week.

The Portland Police Bureau would like to update the public on an occupation developed in the Humboldt Neighborhood on private and public property that has been hostile toward police, journalists, and other community members.

During the morning of December 8, 2020, a group of people blocked North Mississippi Avenue between North Skidmore Street and North Prescott Street. Since that time and overnight, they have set up additional barricades and fortifications in this area. They have also stockpiled weapons.

Those involved in the occupation have threatened and assaulted people, and their actions indicate the intent to continue to do harm to the community. People carrying firearms have been reported in the area. Portland Police call on those individuals to leave their weapons and barricades behind and allow the neighborhood to return to peace.

“We want a peaceful and safe resolution to the occupation of public space on North Mississippi Avenue,” said Chief Chuck Lovell. “We are greatly concerned about the fortification of barricades, stockpiling of weapons, armed sentries, attacks on journalists and threats to kill officers in graffiti in this public space. Our goal is for this to resolve peacefully to increase safety for all involved. I encourage those involved to reach out to our Demonstration Liaison Officers so we can discuss a peaceful outcome.”

This criminal activity has had a significant impact on the safety of residents in that area and the livability of the neighborhood. Traffic and transit cannot pass. Emergency vehicles, including Fire & Rescue and paramedics, may be delayed or prevented from reaching people in need. Residents cannot move freely to and from their own homes. People have reported crimes within the occupied area, including assaults. Portland Police recommend that anyone without a need to be in the area avoid it.

Those in the area immediately impacted along North Mississippi Avenue between North Skidmore Street and North Prescott are severely affected. Anyone there should exercise caution and stay inside if they feel unsafe. Witnesses to crimes in progress in addition to the occupation are asked to report it to police.

LAKE CITY, FL – On Monday, December 7, 2020, at 4:45 P.M., officers from the Lake City Police Department were advised of a robbery that had just occurred at 1310 NW Eadie Street. The victim was able to flee the residence and call 911 providing a vehicle description as well as a direction of travel. The suspects were a black male and black female.

Responding officers located the vehicle on NW Ridgewood Avenue traveling south. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted by officers on the vehicle in a parking lot at the intersection of NW Ridgewood Avenue and W US Hwy 90. All occupants were safely removed from the vehicle and secured separately in patrol cars.

Upon interviewing the victim, it was determined that the male suspect and victim have an ongoing feud based on accusations one made about the other. Today’s incident involved the female suspect inviting the victim over to her residence. Once the victim arrived, he was invited in and was seated on the couch when he observed the male suspect pointing a black gun at him. A physical altercation followed, during which the victim’s cell phone was dropped. The victim was able to break free and run outside where a passerby allowed him to use their phone to call 911.

A search of the vehicle after the stop, and arrest of the occupants, revealed a black firearm partially under the front passenger seat as well as the victim’s cell phone.

BOSTON , MASSACHUSETS – A former member of the Boston-based Devon Street Kings Chapter of the Massachusetts Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation (“Latin Kings”) was sentenced today on racketeering charges. The defendant admitted to shooting in the direction of another Latin Kings member in June 2019.

Juan Figueroa, a/k/a “King Pun,” 25, was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge Rya W. Zobel to two years in prison and three years of supervised release. In September 2020, Figueroa pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity, more commonly referred to as RICO conspiracy. Figueroa was arrested and charged in December 2019, at which time he was a member of the Devon Street Kings, a Boston-based Chapter of the Latin Kings, and had formerly been a member of the New Bedford Chapter.

The Latin Kings are a violent criminal enterprise comprised of thousands of members across the United States. The Latin Kings adhere to a national manifesto, employ an internal judiciary and use a sophisticated system of communication to maintain the hierarchy of the organization. As alleged in court documents, the gang uses drug distribution to generate revenue, and engages in violence against witnesses and rival gangs to further its influence and to protect its turf.

Figueroa admitted to participating in a June 2019 shooting in which he shot in the direction of a Latin Kings member who was in bad standing with the gang. Figueroa further admitted to creating numerous songs and accompanying music videos that served as compelling propaganda for the gang. Producing music under the name, “The Almighty King Pun,” Figueroa’s songs and music videos depicted the gang members brandishing firearms, boasting about their proclivity for violence and describing the scope of their successful drug distribution operations. The music videos featured groups of Latin Kings members wearing gang colors, clothing and symbols, and throwing up gang signs. The lyrics of these music videos taunted and threatened rival gang members.

In December 2019, a federal grand jury returned an indictment alleging racketeering conspiracy, drug conspiracy and firearms charges against 62 leaders, members and associates of the Latin Kings. Figueroa is the seventh defendant to be sentenced in the case.

United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling; Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Field Division; Commissioner Carol Mici of the Massachusetts Department of Correction; Boston Police Commissioner William Gross; and New Bedford Police Chief Joseph C. Cordeiro made the announcement today. Valuable assistance was also provided by the FBI North Shore Gang Task Force and the Bristol County and Suffolk County District Attorney’s Offices. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard and Lauren Graber of Lelling’s Criminal Division are prosecuting the case.

The details contained in the charging documents are allegations. The remaining defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The State of New Jersey has shut down the Toms River Motor Vehicle Commission after it was reported that an employee who works at the facility tested positive for COVID-19.   Toms River Councilwoman Maria Maruca who also serves as the Manager of the Toms River Motor Vehicle Commission office, a politically appointed job was also noticeably absent from the town council meeting held Tuesday night.

According to insiders in Toms River Town Hall, Toms River Democrat Councilman Terrance Turnbach hosted a holiday party recently.  Those insiders also claim members of the township council were in attendance.  Turnbach called into Tuesday night’s meeting along with Matt Lotano.  Turnbach is reportedly currently in a 14-day quarantine after a family member who also attended the party tested positive for COVID-19.  The only council members in attendance physically at Tuesday’s meeting were Kevin Geohegan, Daniel Rodrick, and Laurie Huryk.  The other four members were either not present or dialed in remotely.

We reached out to Turnbach today to discuss the allegation, but Turnbach refused to respond.  Lotano, Maruca, and Josh Kopp, also absent from Tuesday’s meeting were also in attendance at the party, according to town hall insiders.   None of the council members agreed to speak about the allegations or to confirm or deny their presence at the party, which would be in violation of Governor Phil Murphy’s executive orders of limiting house parties to 10 guests or less and limited contact with non-familial members.

Turnbach, a Democrat has been a strong advisor in the community to reinforce the social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines set forth by fellow Democrat Governor Phil Murphy.

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that SHELDON STEPHENSON, 28, of North Lauderdale, Florida, pleaded guilty yesterday to a conspiracy charge stemming from his participation in an immigration marriage fraud scheme.

Pursuant to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), the court proceeding before U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea occurred via videoconference.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Jodian Stephenson operated Stephenson Immigration and Legal Services, LLC, in Bridgeport.  Between 2011 and 2017, Jodian Stephenson conspired with others, including Sheldon Stephenson, to arrange 28 sham marriages between U.S. citizens and non-citizens residing in the U.S. for the purpose of the non-citizens’ applying for and obtaining “lawful permanent residence” (“LPR”) status, also known as a “green card.”

As part of the scheme, Jodian Stephenson prepared several immigration documents needed as part of the non-citizen’s LPR application.  She had the applicant and spouse sign the documents and, in many cases, mailed the documents to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service immigration authorities for the applicant.  In some cases, Jodian Stephenson or her assistants prepared other false documents for the couple, such as a false lease that portrayed the couple as living together.

Jodian Stephenson typically charged between $17,000 and $20,000 to complete this process for a non-citizen, and the citizen spouse received between $2,000 and $4,000 for his or her participation.

In pleading guilty, Sheldon Stephenson admitted that he assisted Jodian Stephenson in arranging four such sham marriages.  Sheldon Stephenson helped to introduce the couples, helped them obtain marriage licenses, prepared their immigration paperwork, and coached them for their immigration service interviews.

Sheldon Stephenson pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit immigration marriage fraud, which carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years.  He is released on a $50,000 bond while awaiting sentencing, which is not scheduled.

On August 19, 2019, Jodian Stephenson pleaded guilty to the same offense.  She also awaits sentencing.

Six other individuals, including U.S. citizens who entered into one or more fraudulent marriages with non-citizens, have been convicted for participating in this scheme.

This investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service’s Office of Fraud Detection and National Security.  The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Henry K. Kopel.

MARTIN COUNTY, FL – Martin County Detectives working to locate a missing and endangered man, knew early where he might be headed, so they made a call. The call was to the law enforcement Fusion center in Tampa. That’s the area where NFL star Tom Brady currently resides.

Martin County Detectives issued a BOLO (Be On the Look-out) for 34-yer old Zanini Cineus. Cineus left his parent’s Martin County home on November 28th. He never returned. His family called to report Cineus missing, and indicated that he was emotionally fragile. Detectives began the process of searching for Cineus. On December 1st, family members call detectives again, with updated information. They told investigators that Zanini had an obsession with Tom Brady. Concerned by this information, MCSO Detectives notified law enforcement sources in Tampa, on the rare chance that Zanini would come looking for Brady. Turns out, he did, but in a different state. On Monday, Zanini Cineus was arrested after breaking into the Brookline Massachusetts home of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. Brady still owns the home, but he now lives in Florida, so the Brookline home was vacant.

Brookline Massachusetts Police found Cineus inside Brady’s mansion just before 6am. He was sitting on the sofa. He reportedly set off multiple alarms before entering the vacant property.

It’s not the first time Zanini has crossed the legal line when it comes to his fondness of Brady. While visiting the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in 2019, Cineus removed a signed Tom Brady Jersey from a display and walked out with it. He was issued a trespass warning and released.

In this current case, Cineus will be charged by Massachusetts authorities with Breaking and Entering with the Intent to Commit a Felony and Attempted Larceny and Trespassing. He was arrested without incident.

WILMINGTON, DE –  With all eyes on President Donald J. Trump’s exit from public office, speculating who the President will pardon on his way out, his successor, Joe Biden might already be making a pardon list of his own…and his own son Hunter could be on it.

Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son whose abandoned laptop caused a stir in the media…well, not really…has now caught the inquiring eye of the Delaware Attorney General’s Office.

On Wednesday, Biden said he is being investigated by federal prosecutors in Delaware.

“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden said. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

The announcement comes weeks before his dad, Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States of America.

According to a report in CNN today Biden lawyers said the feds are, “examining multiple financial issues, including whether Hunter Biden and associates violated tax and money laundering laws in business dealings in foreign countries, principally China.”

Joe Biden’s Vice President-elect Kamala Harris stood in defense of the younger Biden saying, “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”
