SANTA MONICA, CA –  A woman in Santa Monica, California stopped a worker from boarding up a store in Los Angeles stopped for a instagram quickie so she can show her friends not only was she in the thick of the sh–, but she helped protect the city from the impending BLM assault.  Once done fake-screwing the plywood, she took her facemask off and hopped back into her Mercedes, even throwing a “BLM” on the way out.

TOMS RIVER, NJ – You can’t help but to think Toms River Police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department are playing down Tuesday’s BLM protest being held in Downtown Toms River, but local businesses aren’t taking any chances and don’t have the same level of comfort as local law enforcement agencies.   This afternoon, businesses began boarding up their storefronts from Route 37 down to Water Street ahead of the protests.   We reached out earlier to both the Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little and Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy regarding several warnings of threats against the community on social media.  We received no response from Mastronardy and Mitch Little responded via his assistant, Jillian Messina with a canned message posted by police earlier on Facebook.

Exit 82 Scanner News today posted some photos of businesses, most of which have been closed for two-months from the Phil Murphy lockdown, putting plywood sheets over their storefront windows ahead of the protest.

The ominous scene is playing out just two weeks before these businesses have been told they can reopen by the Governor today and just days after Toms River announced restaurants, including those businesses located downtown, can reopen in two weeks with sidewalk dining service.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer today echoed the sentiments of both Little and Mastronardy promising that tomorrow’s protest will be peaceful and not degrade into violence as others around the country have over the past three days.

One post circulated on social media today warning residents to avoid Downtown Toms River, including Kohl’s department store, noting protesters will be marching between 10 am and 8 pm.  Another said the protest will happen downtown next to the Ocean County Administration Building at the corner of Hooper Avenue and Washington Street.

Billhimer said the threatening post was unfounded.

“We are expecting a peaceful protest/gathering tomorrow June 2, 2020, in Toms River. We stand in solidarity with those that wish to protest peacefully,” Prosecutor Billhimer said.  “We are aware of rumors circulating on social media regarding this protest/gathering and there is no evidence at this time to support those rumors. In collaboration with our law enforcement partners, we will be ready handle any situation that may arise.”

The Toms River Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department echoed similar messages throughout the day.

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Organized rallies have been scheduled for Toms River on Tuesday, June 2nd and Lakewood on June 6th.

“We have received information about possible protests and/or gatherings in Toms River on Tuesday June 2nd. We are preparing for potential gatherings and to handle any situation that may arise. It is our priority to maintain the safety of our entire community while allowing a peaceful demonstration,” the Toms River Police Department wrote. “Over the years we have built an amazing relationship with our community. We stand with you together.”

Black Lives Matter signs began to pop up around DTR this evening. The events are being touted by Black Lives Matter.

Tonight we asked Jillian Messina of the Toms River Police Department what, if any precautions the police department is taking in case things go south.

“What safety measures are being put in place by the department around Toms River and especially for downtown businesses?” we asked.

Messina simply replied to our email with the above statement posted earlier on Facebook.

“We have received information about a possible protest and/or gathering in Lakewood on Saturday, June 6, 2020,” the Lakewood Police Department said. “As a result, we are preparing with the help of our community liaisons, so that we can handle any situation that may arise. It is our priority to maintain the safety of the com munity we serve, while allowing and respecting the right to a peaceful demonstration. We ask that you keep all of those affected by the events in Minnesota and around the Country, in your thoughts and prayers.”

TRENTON, NJ – In two weeks, some New Jersey business owners might be able to reopen their small businesses, including outdoor dining at restaurants, limited in-person retail sales, and youth summer camps can open.  “This is a phased-in restart,” Murphy said.

Is your mane growing out of control?  You’re going to have to wait three weeks.   Barbershops and hair salons can reopen on June 22nd.

Murphy praised the protesters in New Jersey and did not condemn any of the riotings in towns that led to damage and looting against businesses in Atlantic City and Trenton.

Before you hit the back button thinking bartering went out of fashion when money came along. Think again. Bartering has not only thrived all this while, it has made a come back in the business world in a big way. If the International Reciprocal Trade Association is any indication, bartering today is a whopping six-billion-dollar business-to-business success story worldwide. And it is expected to grow by more than ten percent annually.

Related: New Jersey Bartering Service Helping Businesses with COVID-19 recovery.

Bartering down the ages

Dictionary defines bartering as the ‘exchange of goods and services without monetary transaction’. It is simply an exchange of goods between two parties, who need something from each other. This mutual give and take has been practiced since antiquity, but has had its share of problems too. Picture this, a fishmonger wanting a new fishing net goes to a net maker with a handsome catch of fish. But the net maker isn’t interested in his fish. So, the fishmonger has either to remain without a net or make one on his own. And he can’t do either. So, he exchanges his fish with someone else for an item that the net maker would be interested in, and exchanges it to get his fishing net. This is what happened till money made its appearance.

But bartering continued to be practiced on a low key. Remember, you have done it too as kids, when you exchanged the center spreads of your favorite beauties for CDs of some really cool music. Well, this was bartering in its most basic form. Only recently has the world woken up to the immense business potential of this form of trade.

Resurgence of bartering

Bartering would have remained on the fringes had it not been for the invasion of the wonder chip called computer and the Internet. With its introduction, it became possible to barter in an easy and inexpensive way. This is because of computer’s ability of tracking barter transactions and maintaining huge inventories conveniently and economically.

To facilitate the burgeoning barter trade, many online facilities were introduced. The most important being the barter exchange, whose spread has fueled an explosive growth of bartering by creating markets for traders and bringing the interested parties together.

Benefits of bartering

But how is bartering better than normal business transactions? There are a number of benefits that has made bartering a force to reckon with in the business world. Let us see what they are:

Conserves cash:

Cash, the lifeblood of business, is always in short supply, whether for a corporate giant or a small-scale industry. Since bartering generally doesn’t require financial transaction, such a deal becomes mutually advantageous, as neither party has to part with cash to obtain the desired goods or services.

Generates sales and profits:

Not only does bartering conserve cash, it can actually generate sales and profits. This is because inventory turns over more quickly and service providers sell more of their time than they would otherwise, had they insisted on cash.

Creates new customers:

Bartering brings together unlikely parties, which would never have met in the normal course of business. If satisfied with the deal, these parties can refer many more customers to each other, including the ones who pay cash. Even the original barter customer may start paying cash in future transactions.

Moves surplus stock:

Barter moves surplus stock, which otherwise would have remained in the storehouse. It also saves money that would have been lost in advertising and weighty discounts.

Utilizes downtime and unused capacity:

If you are not utilizing the full capacity of your plant or service all the year round and can handle new customers, then bartering may pave the way for new business opportunities.

Lowers prices:

With bartering the goods and services procured always turn out to be cheaper than they would have been with cash, since there are no overheads. This can give you an edge over competitors.

Types of bartering

The most common type of bartering online is one-on-one or direct bartering that you can indulge in quite successfully. Its shortcoming is the difficulty in searching for the right deal. For example, you may sell soft toys and may want printing services, but you may be hard put to find a printer who may want soft toys in return. The other type of bartering is called the third party bartering. It uses some form of currency to allow more dynamic exchange between the parties. Businesses generally use both types for best results.

Modern-day bartering

If you do business on the Internet, then bartering may be a golden opportunity knocking at your door. For those serious on bartering, the first step is to enroll in a barter exchange. This exchange will readily help you find what you need by actively searching for the product or service you desire. The advantage of a barter exchange is that it networks with other exchanges across the country and even overseas, thereby extending your area of influence.

How to find barter deals online?

There are various ways to find barter deals online. They are:

Message boards:

You can set up a barter message board or chat room on your website to get barter offers.

Notices:

You can place notices on your website that you are willing to barter for goods and services.

Newsgroups:

You can join newsgroups or e-mail discussion groups that are about bartering.

Online barter club:

Joining an online barter club may help you meet other businesses that barter.

Search engines:

By looking up the keywords like ‘barter’, ‘trade’, ‘swap’ and the like in search engines, you can get a wide choice of bartering portals to choose from.

Is bartering suited for your business?

Before you take another step forward, remember some businesses don’t lend themselves to bartering. Obviously barter won’t work for you if the product or service requires only cash. For example, car payments, mortgage payments or child’s education fee and the like. So, find out when bartering won’t work. Some points are given below:

Don’t bother about bartering if your profit margins are low. Your gross profit margin must be fifty percent or more, as payments to barter exchanges and others may make bartering uneconomical.
Don’t go in for bartering if you are operating at full capacity and have nothing to spare for your bartering customers.
Don’t barter if you are unable to generate sufficient trading volume for your product or service.

Steps to successful bartering

Before you launch yourself into bartering, it will be prudent to prepare well for it. First and foremost, analyze your products and services, and your buying and spending methods and see if they fit into the bartering scenario. The local barter exchange can provide you with a list of members along with products and services. This will facilitate you to find out what is available and who your potential customers might be.

You should be clear what all goods and services you are willing to barter. The best way is to make a list of what you need for your online business. Calculate the approximate monetary value of the goods or services you are seeking or trying to trade. This information will help you negotiate a successful barter deal.

At times you may find other online business houses reluctant to barter. You may have to educate them on the benefits of bartering, why it will be a win-win situation for both and how it will be a fair trade. The following tips may help in winning the trust of your potential bartering customers:

Only barter if the other party needs your product or service and vice versa.
Be specific on what you have to offer and what you want. This will save time and energy for both.
Be fair in sharing a fair value for the goods, including shipping.
Keep lines of communications open at all times with the person you are bartering.
Maintain all records of barter deals, much as you would for an actual sale.

Is bartering taxable?

Bartering is treated like any other business transaction by the tax authorities. It has no tax advantages or disadvantages. The barter exchange you have enrolled in, keeps track of what you buy and sell, and reports your trades to the IRS. Even sales taxes may apply on certain transactions.

The barter system offers a wonderful opportunity for you to gain what you want by offering what you can spare. Although bartering can’t rescue your failing business, it can certainly enhance your company’s market and profit potential. So, if you are looking for a great way to trade, try bartering. It may very well turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Last month, the media scare of the week was the dreader murder hornet that was spotted in the Pacific Northwest this spring, but scientists don’t believe it to be a threat the toe east coast of the United States.  The murder hornet is actually the Asian giant hornet.  The new nickname was given to the hornet by the media this year.

“The species has not yet been detected this spring and we do not expect them on the East Coast,” said Dina M. Fonseca, director of the Center for Vector Biology at Rutgers University. “We do not know how the species arrived in the United States but it is important to not overreact.”

Related: Get rid of your ticks and mosquitos today in New Jersey.

“The Asian giant hornet is unlikely to be present in New Jersey,” Fonseca said. “While citizens in the Pacific Northwest can help detect any emerging hornets this spring, which is critical for its control, the indiscriminate killing of bees, wasps, or other hornet lookalikes, would be detrimental because of beneficial roles these insects provide as plant pollinators and predators of agricultural pests.”

So what should New Jersey residents be worried about this year?  Mosquitos and ticks.   The unseasonably warm winter across much of the Mid-Atlantic could make for an unusually bad mosquito and tick season.

Related: New Jersey Tick Control.

According to Pests.Org, who create an annual tick season forecast, “For 2020, forecasters predict that the warm-weather months in the US will be a bad time for anyone who wants to avoid ticks, with tick populations likely to be larger than usual, and weather conditions likely to put ticks in range of people for much longer than average. And while some regions, most notably the Southeast, may not see more tick activity than usual, most states will experience the warmer, wetter conditions that drive tick populations—and the prospect of tick-borne diseases—skyward.”

Tick season begins in April and ends by late October.  Mosquito season is also now getting into full swing.

Related: How to get rid of mosquitos in New Jersey.

“High rates of mosquitoes are expected throughout the spring and summer in the Northeast in 2020. The expected wet weather combined with the heat—2020 is expected to be one of the six hottest years on record across the country—will bring more mosquitoes, thus the chance for more deadly diseases, to the area,” Pests.Org predicts. “Mosquito season will start in the Northeast around mid-April or early May, and it will last until mid- to late-October. On average, nighttime temperatures in the region dip below the magical 50-degree number in October, but depending on how warm this year is, it could stretch into November.”

Adam Horowitz, owner of LawnBuddy in New Jersey said he also expects to see a higher than normal level of mosquitos and ticks, saying Central New Jersey didn’t get cold enough this winter.  For ticks to die off in the winter freeze, typically at least 10 more consecutive days of all-day sub-freezing temperature is required.

While the deep freeze doesn’t kill off all mosquitos and ticks, the warmer weather last winter doesn’t help homeowners at all.

TRENTON, NJ – Governor Phil Murphy has announced he will be delivering his COVID-19 briefing at 2:30 pm today as the state’s capital city of Trenton burns and is being looted around him.   Murphy said the state is ready to move to his magical “Stage Two”.  “‪Thanks to your hard work, we’ve flattened the curve of #COVID19 in New Jersey and are now closer to Stage Two,” the Governor said.  “‪Join me live tomorrow at 2:30 PM for an important announcement.‬”

Murphy who has threatened police response to small business owners, public gatherings and social distancing violations for the past two months is now supporting large scale protests around the state with no social-distancing or PPE.  The governor has also been under pressure from a large business alliance to reopen businesses who gave him an ultimatum to respond by today.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has announced that businesses in Philadelphia may begin entering his “Yellow” phase of reopening.  That is, whatever businesses haven’t been destroyed or looted by Friday.  Under the yellow phase businesses may reopen and telecommunicating should be encouraged whenever possible.   Business occupancy is capped at 25% of maximum capacity during this phase.

Until then, Wolf reminded residents the city is still in the red phase and only life-sustaining businesses can open until then.  A stay-at-home order is still in effect in the city and large gatherings are prohibited.   Large gatherings are also prohibited.   That is unless your large gathering is a full-fledged riot and your in those bars and restaurants simply to loot them, of course.

Since his announcement Friday, the world has changed.  This weekend, Wolf declared a state of emergency after rioting in Harrisburgh, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

“People have every right to speak out and demonstrate , but it’s unacceptable to take advantage of protests to incite violence, harm others and destroy property,” Gov. Wolf said. “This declaration authorizes the commonwealth and its agencies to assist municipalities in their response to de-escalate violence and keep our communities safe.”

As the situation devolved, Wolf pleaded for Pennsylvanians to speak out against the protests he supported just a few days earlier.

“Every Pennsylvanian should speak out against violence and oppression, and the recent murder of George Floyd in Minnesota has rightfully outraged many of us. Pennsylvanians are joining together to speak out against this injustice, and make their voices heard, peacefully,” Governor Wolf said. “But yesterday was a challenging day for many cities in our commonwealth as these peaceful protests were co-opted by violence and looting. This is unacceptable.”

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A peaceful protest in Atlantic City turned ugly after protesters began breaking windows and looting stores throughout the city.   From the convention center to the boardwalk, crowds looted and pillage the city.  In one case caught on video, a rioter who attacked police was beaten with a nightstick and arrested by defending officers.  The riot prompted the city to enact a curfew Sunday night.

“The Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management has issued a State of Emergency. As a result, a citywide curfew has been enacted for the City of Atlantic City. The curfew will begin at 8 pm and will end at 6 am. During this time, only those individuals that are traveling to or from work or seeking medical/police assistance will be permitted. All others are subject to arrest,” the police department said.

LOS ANGELES, CA – NBA reporter Chris Palmer found himself in an ironic situation this week after he initially supported the burning and destruction of a Minneapolis low-income housing complex, saying “Burn that shit down, burn it all down.”    Two days later, as rioters came to “tear up” his own neighborhood, Palmer sang a different sont.

“Don’t come to where we live at and tear our neighborhood up. We care about our community. If you don’t care about yours I don’t give a shit,” he tweeted. “They just attacked our sister community down the street. It’s a gated community and they tried to climb the gates. They had to beat them back. Then destroyed a Starbucks and are now in front of my building. Get these animals TF out of my neighborhood. Go back to where you live.”

Now, Palmer is walking back his support for the violence and destruction in Minneapolis saying he didn’t know they were organized protesters or that the building on fire was intended to provide low-income housing to disadvantaged people in Minneapolis.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, after effectively shutting itself down to outsiders Memorial Day weekend is back open, now with social distancing “ambassadors”.   These ambassadors are here to ensure the public is properly social distancing and wearing PPE when applicable, which according to Governor Phil Murphy is whenever you’re within six feet of another non-familiar human being.   This photo posted to the “Reopen NJ” Facebook page by Melissa Gardner highlights the absurdity of it all.

Four social ambassadors were photographed congregating within six feet of each other.  Two of those ambassadors had their PPE down below their mouth and the third was all face touchy.  We’re not trying to harass these poor kids, but they were obviously not well trained by the borough before being put on the job and if the ambassadors don’t believe in their job, they shouldn’t expect others to believe in their mission.

When I worked for a company out of Boston as Regional IT Director, I had a disagreement about a fundamental technology philosophy with the CIO of the company that acquired our company.  We were a UNIX and Solaris based media solutions provider.   We were acquired by a company that was a Microsoft Partner and Microsoft solutions provider.  I was told within a year, our datacenter and all of our business operations had to be migrated to Windows platform servers.

I made the case to my CIO and the new executive board that UNIX is a far superior platform to Microsoft’s platform and products.  I gave a kick-ass presentation filled with facts.  In fact, I impressed the executive board of the corporation and they thanked me for the research, the science, and the facts so much, they put me in charge of the in-house migration.

Then my CIO, after telling me how brilliant my research was, gave me the bottom line.

“We are a Microsoft Partner and one of the top tier solutions providers in the world now,” he said. “If we’re going to sell the dog food, guess what? We’re all going to eat the dog food. How do you expect our salespeople to close the nearly seven-figure deal on the table with the Bank of Mexico  to roll out an enterprise-level Microsoft solution, when we haven’t even done it yet internally?  If we’re pushing it, we’re eating it too.”

That’s really a lesson for young Paul Kanitra, the Mayor of Point Pleasant.   We don’t want to pick on these kids, it’s not their fault, but if Kanitra wants visitors in his town to eat Phil Murphy’s dog food, all of his employees need to also be eating the same brand of Phil Murphy dog food.

Manchester Twp. NJ – On Saturday, May 30, 2020, at approximately 12:45 PM, officers from the Manchester Township Police Department responded to the intersection of County Route 571 and Commonwealth Boulevard, in the Ridgeway Section of the Township, to investigate a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles including one, which was towing a boat.

Upon arrival, officers located a grey, 2011, full-sized Chevy Silverado Pickup with heavy front-end damage facing east in the eastbound lanes of Route 571. Also located was a badly damaged black, 2015, Chevy Silverado Pickup that was partially off the roadway into a traffic signal support post. Directly next to it was a pleasure boat, which appeared to have become dislodged from the trailer that was attached to the rear of the truck.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the grey Silverado Pickup truck, which was  being operated by Douglas Smith of Toms River, was traveling westbound on Route 571 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Commonwealth Boulevard. Upon doing so, it collided with the black Silverado Pickup truck, which was being operated by Edward Liatys Jr. of Yardville NJ. Liatys was traveling eastbound on Route 571 at the time of the crash and was towing a boat. The force of the collision caused the boat to become dislodged from its trailer and strike a black, 2015, Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stopped at the traffic signal on Commonwealth Boulevard. The Jeep was being operated by David McCluskey of Manchester. Five occupants of Liatys’s truck were transported to Brick Hospital for minor injuries.

Assisting at the scene were members of the Manchester Emergency Medical Services, and the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department. The cause of the crash is ongoing and is being investigated by Ptl. George Smith of the department’s Patrol Bureau.

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy and Prosector Bradley Bilhimer have announced solidarity in support of George Floyd, a black man killed by Minneapolis Police last week.  Floyd’s death sparked outrage nationwide which led to protests and eventually looting and riots.

“As we continue to watch the events unfold in Minneapolis with the senseless killing of George Floyd by law enforcement, we send our thoughts and prayers to his family during this very difficult time. Our office led by Sheriff Michael Mastronardy are angered and saddened by the video of this horrible crime,” Mastronardy said.  “No officers under our roof condone this conduct or would allow this to go on. We are trained to save lives, not take them. We want the public to know in NO WAY does this act represent who we are and what we stand for. We believe in treating EVERYONE fairly and Justice for ALL. God Speed George Floyd.”

“The images of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis are deeply disturbing. Mr. Floyd’s death is being investigated not only by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI in Minneapolis, but by the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights division, as it should be,” Billhimer said. “As county prosecutors entrusted with the solemn responsibility of acting as the chief law enforcement officer in our respective counties, we recognize that so much of law enforcement’s relationship with the community is built upon trust. We trust the members of our community to follow the law and cooperate with our efforts to enforce it; our community has the right to trust that they will be treated fairly and justly by the officers who serve them.”

Billhimer said in New Jersey, the law enforcement community is fortunate to have developed a positive relationship with our residents. Our police officers and state troopers routinely conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and respect for the members of the communities they serve. This has been particularly apparent over the past few months as our officers have managed the added responsibility of enforcing significant restrictions on our normal activities with sensitivity to the stress that our residents are experiencing in the midst of this public health crisis.

“We believe that New Jersey is home to some of the finest law enforcement officers in the country,” Billhimer said. “The County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey is committed to ensuring that members of our local, county and state police forces provide fair treatment and justice to all our residents. Anyone who believes they have been victimized by a member of law enforcement as a result of bias or other improper behavior is encouraged to take the matter up with that officer’s chief, or contact their County Prosecutor’s Office directly so their complaint can be thoroughly investigated.”

Billhimer said in New Jersey,  we are privileged to have the leadership of New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, who just this past fall issued a comprehensive package of policy initiatives designed to reinforce and clarify the Garden State’s commitment to excellence in policing. These statewide reforms are intended to promote the culture of professionalism, accountability and transparency that are hallmarks of New Jersey’s best law enforcement agencies. Through Attorney General Grewal’s “Excellence in Policing Initiative,” the state is building a national model for strengthening accountability and trust between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.

Strip Clubs Denied Federal Assistance During COVID-19 Shutdown

In Wisconsin, the operators of four “Silk Exotic Gentleman’s Clubs” sued the Small Business Administration for being turned down for a loan by the Paycheck Protection Progam.  That’s because the SBA regulations prohibit loans to businesses that “present live performances of a prurient sexual nature.”    U.S. District Court Judge Lynn Adelman made a decision this month that said the SBA acted discriminately against the strip club operator for “unfavorable treatment based solely on the content of their speech.”

That decision paved the way for strip club operators, forced shut down by Governor Phil Murphy during the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for the loans.

Lap Dances and the New Normal

As America comes back online, one of the industries being left behind are the strip club operators nationwide, but the federal government has given those business owners the same social distancing guidelines as every other business in America.  Social distancing and the six-foot rule will apply.

In Las Vegas, one strip club has reopened and is now offering drive-through strip shows.  Little Darlings has begun offering 10-minute drive-up shows where women will dance totally nude while patrons sit in the comfort of their own car.

“Guests can drive up to the front door and we’re going to have dancers separate by the 6-foot separation rule and they can enjoy a totally nude show right from the seat of their car,” said owner Ryan Carlson.

Since the opening of the drive-through in Las Vegas, club operators around the country are now reopening with drive-through service.

Drive Through Food to Go-Go

One Strip Club in Portland, Oregon has set the gold standard for the new normal by offering drive-through service in a large tent where guests and pay for and watch shows while they wait for their restaurant order at the establishment. Lucky Devil Eats in Portland, Oregon has strippers deliver their meals to waiting customers for an additional $30 between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m.

That eventually grew into their new full-service offering, food to go-go.    This week, taking it one step further, they launched STRIPPARaoke, a drive-through karaoke performance sung by a stripper, with or without your food.

Strip Clubs in NJ

Governor Murphy’s roadmap to reopening so far doesn’t include strip clubs and so far, no New Jersey venues have attempted a drive-through service and it’s unlikely that the industry will reopen any time soon.   It also begs the question, with COVID-19 lurking in every corner, who the hell is going to want to go to a strip club anyway?

One Miami operator has that figured out.

“Guys have been rolling dice with hookers ever since the beginning of time,” said Sean Bishop, owner of the Gold Club Pompano Beach in Florida. “We’re idiots when it comes to sex.”

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Chief DiPasquale is pleased to announce that as of 12:00 noon on Monday June 1, 2020 the Berkeley Heights Police Department will be implementing the final stage of the transfer of the call taking and emergency dispatch services to the Union County Dispatch Center.

In March of this year, the Township’s 9-1-1 call taking and EMS dispatching was transferred successfully to Union County Dispatch Center. This was followed successfully by the Fire Department dispatching earlier this month. On Monday at noon, all Police Department call taking and dispatch services will transfer to the County Dispatch Center.

We are confident that the services and the advanced technology provided by the Union County Dispatch Center will provide a great service to the residents of Berkeley Heights and to the emergency service departments that serve the community.
