TOMS RIVER-Toms River Councilman Maurice Hill said at a Toms River Republican Club meeting which he was invited to speak that this year’s mayoral election in Toms River, “Is going to be an ugly campaign.”

Hill, who is not a member of the Toms River Republican Club after resigning earlier this year, going as far as suing his former club for campaign funds said of his opponents, “They smell blood in the water.”

At the meeting, Hill said he will not allow his campaign to become victim to religious differences.

“The Democrats are the party of division, they are going to try to divide us and they’re going to try to play one religious group against another,” Hill said.

Hill also took a shot at his opponent, Jonathan Petro after Petro sent an op-ed letter to the Asbury Park Press criticizing Hill’s financial and political relationship with Scott Gartner, an Orthodox Jewish community leader who threatened a war chest of $500,000 to sue the township if it did not change the existing 10 acre requirement to build houses of worship within the community.

In that letter, published this week in the newspaper,  Petro said, “Toms River residents should be concerned with the unusually cozy relationship between Councilman Maurice Hill and Scott Gartner – a man who has threatened to sue the town to force changes to zoning laws that sensibly restrict the construction of houses of worship.”

Petro criticized Hill’s campaign donation from Gartner and a series of meetings that were made public between Hill and Gartner at Gartner’s spacious North Dover estate.

“Hill is a member of the Toms River Land Use Committee, clearly should not be accepting campaign donations or meeting privately with someone who is lobbying for zoning changes,” Petro said. “This speaks volumes about Hill’s judgment and priorities.”

Hill responded to Petro’s criticism.

“Our opponents went negative early,” Hill said. “When you don’t have a campaign message…you go negative.”

“Toms River deserves better from a sitting councilman,” Petro said. “If I am fortunate enough to be elected, I will uphold Toms River’s 10-acre zoning rules for religious buildings which have been in place since 2009.”

Petro added, “I will not cave into special interest groups.”

Hill has yet to rejoin the Toms River Republican Club.  Sources within his campaign said Hill does not want to be seen publicly as returning back to the “establishment” party, although he has been solicited funds from the establishment Republicans in both Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Ocean County Chairman Frank Holman said at the meeting, “What kind of chairman would I be if I lost Toms River, the most Republican town in the most Republican County in New Jersey.”

TOMS RIVER-Ocean County Republican Chairman Frank Holman is now fighting a battle against Ocean County Conservative Republicans who are seeking to raise money for their campaigns.  Holman, who is in his first year as chairman of the Ocean County GOP fired off a scathing demand to county Republicans warning them not to attend an event honor former Lacey Township Mayor John C. Parker because it is being done outside of his directive that all fundraising goes through his organization’s coffers.

“Despite my specific request as county chairman not to compete with our county’s fundraising efforts, these individuals have chosen to ignore this quest and have created a PAC known as SOC-R PAC,” Holman said in a letter to county establishment Republicans  “I view this effort as a direct attack on the OCGOP.”

On a letter sent out to conservative Republicans countywide invited them to attend a $40 reception at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center in honor of Parker, a lifelong servant of the community.

Cost for the event is $40.

Related: Holman Promises Opportunities for Youth and Diversity…takes top election job for himself.

Insiders in the party say they are not confident Holman can raise the necessary funds, nearing as much as $250,000 between now and election day to support Republican candidates county wide.  As has been the case in years past, different groups within the Republican power structure have created PACs to also assist their own local candidates in lieu of county GOP funding.

Also in years past, the OC GOP’s coffers ran on full tanks.  Now, with many donors and fundraisers backing out of Republican positions in Toms River and Brick, Holman’s worth as a chairman will be called into question.  Former Chairman George Gilmore was a master fundraiser for the party.  In his absence, Holman and his new team of henchmen, including Jackson Chairwoman Clara Glory, Assemblyman Gregory McGuckin, and Jerry Dasti are in the hot seat to deliver sufficient campaign funds to keep the party from losing seats in Toms River and Brick.

Holman blames the conservative fundraising on former Chairman George Gilmore, claiming Gilmore is behind the effort to raise money for conservative Republicans running for office and he can’t have that.

“The OCGOP was successful because it was united, it spoke with one voice and raised the funds necessary to support our candidates up and down the ballot,” Holman claimed of the state’s once most powerful Republican organization.  “I am working hard to unite our party.”

In his effort to “unite our party” Holman has led with dictatorial determination including making threats to members of the organization who did not fall in line behind his newfound power and now ordering his establishment Republican base to not show up to honor Parker and raise money for Southern Ocean County conservative Republicans.

If you are an Ocean County Conservative Republican and wish to support conservative candidates, send a $40 check to SOC-R PAC c/o Carmen Memoli. 222 Oak Avenue., Suite 5, Toms River, NJ 08753.   The event is taking place from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, September 7th.

Memoli’s Conservative PAC’s have supported Republicans in Ocean County many years before Holman became chairman.

“A small group of individuals have begun their own fundraising, which undermines the OCGOP’s united front,” Holman said.

TOMS RIVER-Toms River Councilman Maurice “Mo” Hill said this week in an Asbury Park Press feature that Toms River needs to conduct streetlight inventory in the North Dover section of Toms River which has seen rapid growth over the past five years.

“Because we have more people walking in the northern sections, we need to increase the lighting out there,” Hill said.

One option for Toms River could be a program similar to Lakewood which invests $700,000 to $800,000 per year on streetlight improvements in the city. Lakewood also invested $2,000,000 in sidewalks in 2018.   Similar concerns have been raised over the years in neighboring Jackson where Orthodox Jewish “schtickle pioneers” from communities across America settled along Jackson’s long dark roads where sidewalks and streetlights are scarce.

Last week Hill, when commenting about the overdevelopment of North Dover, once dominated by chicken farms and horse farms, now blanketed with apartment buildings and townhouses, with several more high-density development projects in the works said of the situation in his town, “I would argue that is not overdevelopment.”

Hill was referring to the Asbury Park Press feature claiming Toms River had more building permits in 2018 than Lakewood.  In July, Hill sounded the alarm on illegal construction at a North Dover home.

Hill came under fire during his election campaign for the generous political campaign donations he received from the Orthodox Jewish community during the primary.   Many of the new residents in the North Dover section of town not only endorsed Hill’s campaign nominating position, but the community also donated thousands of dollars to Hill’s campaign.

TOMS RIVER-The Ocean County GOP is parting ways officially with its former Chairman George Gilmore this month as they relocate their headquarters out of Gilmore’s 10 Allan Street office building into an office building on Main Street in Downtown Toms River.

30 Main Street is owned by Grace Acquisitions, NJ LLC, based out of  150 Airport Road in the Lakewood Industrial Park.   The LLC  also owns the nearby parking lot in Downtown Toms River on the corner of West Water Street and Irons Street which is part of the Toms River Township plan to revitalize Downtown Toms River.

On the town’s plans, published in a video showing the Irons Street parking lot is a massive 8 story building that occupies every square foot of the existing empty parking lot.   The parking lot north of the Irons Street property owned by Grace Acquisitions NJ LLC is owned by the Township of Toms River.

The building sits across Water Street from what would be a 10 story apartment building built on the site of the current U.S. Post Office, which is expected to be razed under the township’s plan to redevelop the Downtown area.

Jerry Dasti, a henchman for new Ocean County GOP Chairman Frank Holman said the party is hoping to move into its new digs by September 1st.

Drawing provided by the Township of Toms River shows massive eight story complex to be built on a parking lot owned by the GOP’s new Landlord, Grace Acquisitions, NJ LLC.

TRENTON-New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, whose administration is suing the Trump administration and has been an extremely critical opponent of the President said today that Trump should bail out the water fiasco currently plaguing Cory Booker’s former “hometown” of Newark.

Booker served as mayor of Newark for 7 years and today is feeling the heat for his administration’s failure to address the city’s high volumes of lead found in its drinking water.

“We need the federal government to do its share and punch its weight,” Murphy told reporters today. “It’s public health, public health.”

Period.  Full stop.

Or is it?

“Met with Newark residents today at a Newark Department of Health and Community Wellness water distribution center. We are working hand-in-hand with the City of Newark, NJ – City Hall to protect the health of residents while we work to determine the cause and extent of elevated lead levels in two homes relying on filtered water,” Murphy said on Wednesday.

Now, Murphy and Booker are calling on Trump to bail them out of a jam created by Democrats in New Jersey.

EATONTOWN-It’s no secret in politics, especially here at the Jersey Shore.  If you operate a company that can be appointed to a professional service contract in government, you should probably donate a few hundred bucks to your local candidates to get the job.

According to many political insiders, “It’s just the way it always has been.”

Eatontown Democrats are now feeling the heat after sending an email asking for donations and hinting at paid jobs with the municipality.  The Democrats used ActBlue, the same campaign contribution service used by U.S. Sentor Cory Booker to raise money after last week’s mass shootings.

“There is still time to help us meet our fundraising goals,” the email from the Eatontown Democrats said to donors. “Please note that next year’s professionals will be chosen solely on their merits and not based on political connection. We’re hoping you’ll apply.”

It’s just how things work in politics, but most are smart enough to not connect the dots in an email or just flat out deny that 90% of professionals who contribute to their campaigns receive jobs.

It’s also just not Democrats. Republicans do it too.   Last year, Toms River Councilman George Wittman found himself in the hot seat after accidentally sending an email to several township employees saying that an open job should “go to a club member first”.

Wittman said the email was a mistake.

At the shore, you can usually pull a candidate’s ELEC form and play connect the dots with appointed professional contracts.   This time though, in Eatontown, just like in Toms River last year, the politicians were caught with their hands in the cookie jar.  Usually they reserve such talks for caucus meetings with their local or county chairmen as they divvy up jobs that are not available to the general public.

In Ocean County, insiders are now reporting that law firms associated with new Ocean County GOP Chairman Frank Holman are already engaging in discussions to replace the law firm of the former chairman, George Gilmore, with their own firms.  In some cases, like Toms River and Brick, Republicans have to first win those seats before they can all divide their spoils of war.

When it comes to the Eatontown Democrats, the Asbury Park Press confirmed the email was sent to attorneys and accountants who could get municipal contracts…in exchange of course, for a few bucks thrown into their campaign coffers.

Today, Asbury Park Press reported that the teenage murderer apprehended by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office was in fact the victim’s son.   This information remains unconfirmed by the prosecutor’s office and the Toms River Police Department.

Law enforcement gave scarce details of the murder to the media this week, citing the assailant’s age as a minor.

The 17-year-old has been charged with murder.

NEWARK-U.S. Senator Cory Booker served as mayor of the city of Newark from 2006 to 2013.  During that time, critics claim he failed to ensure proper oversight of the city’s public water system and now with thousands of residents being served bottled water amid the current lead contamination crisis, his critics say he is to blame.

“Booker has no credibility, especially on water. He did not leave a legacy of a well-functioning water treatment plant and engineering corps. He left a mess,” said Brendan O’Flattery a Columbia University economics professor who reports on Newark’s water commission.

This week, Governor Phil Murphy announced up to 14,000 Newark households could pick up free bottled water across the city while the state continues to check lead levels in the water supply.

Booker immediately pulled out his race defense shield and blamed Newark’s water woes on President Donald Trump and a hidden agenda that affects poor “black and brown” communities like his own.

“Newark’s water emergency demands our federal government’s immediate attention. Everyone deserves clean, safe water—it’s shameful that our national crisis of lead-contaminated water disproportionately hits poor black and brown communities like my own,” Booker said.

Hirsh Singh, New Jersey’s Republican challenger to Cory Booker for U.S. Senate said the city’s neglect falls on Cory’s shoulders as he was mayor of the city for 7 years.

“Shame! Newark, NJ has a Water-Lead crisis that looks just like Flint, Michigan,” Singh, a Republican, said. “Newark has voted Democrat for decades and though the good citizens have ensured the success of Mayors like Cory Booker here is another example of neglect.”

Singh said Cory Booker used Newark to propel himself into the Senate to run for President.

“Clean water is the most fundamental requirement,” Singh added. “Booker said nothing for over a year but now that the lead contamination has been exposed he’s trying to take political cover with a pathetic statement. Booker opposes the President at every turn and now is begging for help. The lead issues have been known for over a year now! Why has he been silent till now?”

Singh called upon Governor Murphy and Trenton to launch an audit into the Newark water commission.

The New York Post and many other reliable sources are confirming a bizarre painting of former U.S. President William Jefferson Clinton sitting in a chair in the oval office wearing a blue dress and red high-heeled shoes hanging in the home of now-deceased international pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.  Epstein committed suicide this weekend while awaiting trial for his charges of sex trafficking.   It has been reported that Clinton and Epstein were close, with Clinton flying on Epstein’s “Lolita Express” plane to his private island to have sex with underaged and young sex slaves.

A piece dubbed “Parsing Bill” was painted and sold by a New York-based artist named Petrina Ryan-Kleid. Saatchi Art, an online art gallery, describes it as an “oil on canvas” with dimensions of 40 W x 40 H x 2 in. The painting inside Epstein’s home appears to be the same size, and sources told The Post it was also done with oil, according to the New York Post.

WALL TOWNSHIP-Dangerous algae blooms are spreading across New Jersey lakes, as reported here two weeks ago, but now that bloom has made the Manasquan reservoir unsafe for both humans and pets.

Health officials have confirmed that the harmful algal bloom is present in Monmouth County’s largest source of drinking water. Those quantities, according to the New Jersey Advisory Guidance are above acceptable levels.

For now, the county has suspended all water sports, swimming wading and have told residents not to drink, or even have contact with water in the reservoir.  Fish caught in the reservoir should not be eaten.   Pets and livestock are highly advised to stay away from the water.

TOMS RIVER-After a day at the office in downtown Toms River, many people want to just get out and go out.  Unfortunately, except for one restaurant with a liquor license, there’s really not much to do downtown, so they go elsewhere.

Trying to mimic successful downtown centers like Freehold and Red Bank, the Township of Toms River proposed building over 1,000 hi-rise, high-density apartments on land owned by the township.  Those projects are in the works, but one councilman disagrees and says the answer to revitalizing downtown Toms River has to start with restaurants and liquor licenses.

Daniel Rodrick, a Republican councilman who ran unsuccessfully to get the endorsement for mayor by the party this June said the town needs to focus on bringing more entertainment downtown…and the people will follow.

The problem is, New Jersey’s liquor license laws will make that task next to impossible.

“I believe their success is directly related to the concentration of bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. That concentration draws in people from near and far,” Rodrick said.  “My wife and I were up in Belmar for dinner a few nights ago and I couldn’t help but notice the massive amount of foot traffic. As I watched people come and go, it got me thinking about what makes places like Belmar and Redbank so successful – and can we replicate that in Downtown Toms River?”

Rodrick said a robust restaurant, bar and nightlife scene, akin to that of Red Bank, Freehold and Belmar will draw people to the sleepy downtown center that right now boasts little more than banks, law offices, and government facilities.

“Unfortunately, as you are all well aware, the number of liquor licenses in the state is directly tied to the number of residents in a community; one license per 3,000 residents. Licenses are rarely available and as a result, a secondary market has developed,” Rodrick said. “The average cost of a liquor license in New Jersey is now $350,000 dollars – and a license recently sold in up in Short Hills for over $1.2 Million. This makes it impossible for startups because they don’t have the capital.”

Recognizing it is an impediment economic growth and downtown redevelopment across the state, some folks in Trenton have tried to reform the system. But lobby groups fight reform tooth and nail because they recognize issuing more licenses will increase competition and devalue the resale of their licenses, he added.

Rodrick is calling upon state legislative leaders to explore the possibility of places like Downtown Toms River to be able to get liquor licenses through a pilot program he is pushing Trenton for that would allow in-place liquor licenses to venues within a downtown revitalization project zone.  Those licenses would be non-transferrable and can never leave the zone, he said.

“I’ve reached out to Senate President Steve Sweeney and Minority Leader John Bramnick to share my ideas – and it is my hope that they will be receptive,” Rodrick said.

Until then, the township will continue its path to build hi-rise apartments upon lots owned by the town and even by grazing the post office and building apartments there too.  Rodrick said he supports the downtown redevelopment but without a nightlife scene and restaurants with liquor licenses, he’s worried that all of the apartments will bring more people than entertainment opportunities that would exist to keep them downtown after work or on weekends.

Towns like Red Bank and Freehold now boast a very vibrant restaurant and bar scene that attracts thousands of people each day to walk the shops, grab a bite and down a couple of drinks after work.

[Glassboro, NJ…] After two weeks of several deadly shootings, a slightly ignored case continues to build traction. Cheeseman Vs. Pollillo was filed with the Supreme Court of The United States in June and it is gaining momentum.

In the United States, there are four different types of jurisdictions concerning the concealed carry of firearms. That is, the lawful and permitted carry of a loaded firearm on one’s person for self defense and lawful purposes. The jurisdictions are: Shall issue, which means the issuing authority will issue permits to those that have no criminal history. Constitutional Carry, which means if you are lawful to own a firearm, you may carry one without a permit. May issue, which means the issuing authority may or may not grant permits based on the information available and level of “need.” And there is the special “May Issue” that is law in states like NJ, NY, CA, HI, MD, etc.

“May Issue” in New Jersey is practically, no issue. The legislature helped solidify this by passing a series of gun control bills last year. One in particular added to the statute a definition of “Justifiable Need.” In plain English, a law-abiding citizen, regular Joe, will not be able to get a permit to carry in NJ unless they are able to show they have been previously attacked, multiple times, or there have been multiple previous specific threats to the person. Therefore, New Jersey is a “no issue” state.

Mark Cheeseman aims to change this in New Jersey and now the country. After applying for a concealed carry permit and being denied, Cheeseman knew he had to do something to enact change to these laws. Mark was not happy with the direction his neighborhood was going and wanted to be able to better protect himself and his family. After his denial, he turned to other possible self-defense options. In New Jersey? Three-quarters of one ounce of pepper spray is all a normal citizen is allowed to defend themselves with. After his first denial, Cheeseman with the help of New Jersey Second Amendment Society, fought and had overturned the state’s ban on stun guns or tasers.

Cheeseman, a little emboldened by the stun gun/taser win, applied a second time for a concealed carry permit and was yet again denied. He appealed and his case has made it all the way to the Supreme Court of The United States. Not only is the case sitting on the doorstep of the Supreme Court, but now he has some backing. Two friends of the court briefs have been filed in support of Cheeseman. Between the two briefs, the following organizations are represented: Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners, Firearms Policy Coalition, Firearms Policy Foundation, California Gun Rights Foundation and Second Amendment Foundation. There are currently none in opposition. The state of New Jersey has refused to reply to the petition by their deadline to do so, a move they also made in a similar case, Rogers Vs. Grewal. Another carry case from NJ. The court did force the State to respond in Rogers yet has not made any directives in Cheeseman.

Firearm enthusiasts and advocates have a long road to travel. In Cheeseman’s case, there are several ones ahead of him already filed with the Supreme Court. New York State Rifle & Pistol Association vs. City of New York, has been granted cert by the high court, a case dealing with the lawful transport of firearms out of the city. At the time of filing, citizens of New York City or the boroughs were not allowed to transport their lawfully owned firearms out of the city to say a second home in upstate New York or even another state. The New York case is important, as it is the first case the high court has agreed to hear since 2010. The previously mentioned Rogers case is also waiting in limbo to find out if it is going to be heard, ahead of Cheeseman.

These cases are gaining attention. In the NY case, this week over 15 organizations representing government entities, police forces or Bloomberg funded groups filed briefs in opposition of the merits of the case. What is clear, the governments in these may/no-issue states do not want law-abiding citizens to be able to carry a firearm, for any reason. They don’t even want a citizen to be able to transport their gun out of their own city. Think about that.

As for Cheeseman? He’s hopeful that his case gets heard but is okay with it being mooted. When discussing it he said “…I’m doing this for the rights of the people in New Jersey. I’m not doing this so just I can have a carry permit. If another case succeeds to make carry the law of the land, all the better.”

TOMS RIVER-Up until now, Ocean County’s “Open Space Tax” has been used to purchase open spaces for recreational use and preservation of Ocean County’s diminishing supply of natural habitats.

Now, the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders is asking voters this November to expand their ability to spend open space funds on things other than open space.

The Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Fund has successfully preserved close to 30,000 acres of open space since it was formally established in 1998.

In November, the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders will ask voters to amend the program in order to expand its purpose allowing the trust fund to be used for costs of acquisition, development and maintenance for recreational and historic preservation purposes.

“This proposal will not increase the open space tax that is currently in place,” said Ocean County Freeholder Director Virginia E. Haines, who serves as liaison to the county’s Natural Lands program. “But what it does provide is more flexibility within the program. “It would assist in our efforts to develop further some of our parks like the Barnegat Branch Trail, for example,” she said. “Also it would help in our efforts of historic preservation for such important buildings like the Cox House in Barnegat Township.”

What Haines means is that less money will be spent purchasing open space land tracts going forward and the Freeholders will be able to use money collected to purchase open space land for pet projects that are in need of funding.  This action comes as developers continue to buy up all available land in places like Jackson Township and Northern Toms River to build high density development projects.

Haines pinky swears that the program’s number one priority will always be the acquisition of open space in the County.

Now it’s up to voters to decide whether or not they trust their Board of Chosen Freeholders with allocating those funds properly if allowed to have more flexibility in how they spend the money they collect from taxpayers each year.

We’ve all been told the Garden State Parkway, built in the mid-twentieth century will have tolls only until the cost of the road is paid for…look at it now.  In past history in New Jersey, politicians have a bad track record of keeping promises once they start raiding allocated accounts for other purposes, just look at the state’s pension fund which has been raided by numerous governors.

The ballot question will read: Shall the Ocean County Natural Lands Trust, which was approved and established by referendum in 1997, be expanded to permit use of the Trust Fund not only for open space preservation purposes and farmland preservation purposes, but also allow for the acquisition, development and maintenance for recreational and historic preservation purposes?

Ocean County Freeholder Deputy Director John P. Kelly said currently the Natural Lands Trust only allows for Trust Fund money to be used to acquire and maintain land for the purpose of open space preservation or for the preservation of farmland.

“The Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Fund currently allocates 1.2 cents per $100 of assessed land for the open space tax,” Agliata said. “There will be no increase to taxpayers. The question only expands the use of the existing Trust Fund.”

The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders in 1997 posed a question to the county’s voters on whether a trust fund to preserve natural lands should be established. The funds come from a dedicated tax of 1.2 cents per $100 of equalized property value. Establishing the fund received the support of voters in all 33 municipalities.

Now, more than ever, the National Lands Trust Fund is needed to save Ocean County from over development more than ever before, reallocating those funds to pay for general operating budget items such as historic restorations and park development would decrease the amount of funds available to stop developers from building on existing open spaces.

The Natural Lands Trust Fund Program was established to acquire and maintain environmentally sensitive lands, natural areas or open spaces that would generally remain in their natural state and for the preservation of farmland. The objective of the program, is to establish of a system of protected lands which, in combination with the Farmlands Preservation Program, enhance the quality of life in Ocean County by:

  • Helping to maintain the County’s rural characteristics;
  • Protecting critical environmental resources and water supply;
  • Maintaining and enhancing active agriculture;
  • Buffering areas that are not compatible with development.

TOMS RIVER-The body of 44-year-old Margarita Diaz was found in a Deer Chase Professional Park parking lot last week. Now, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said a juvenile has been charged for her murder.

Billhimer offered very few details of the murder though.

“Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little have announced that a juvenile has been arrested and charged with the murder of Margarita Diaz, 44, of Manchester Township, which occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the Deer Chase Professional Park, Route 37 West, in Toms River Township,” Billhimer said. “In addition to being charged with Ms. Diaz’s murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a, the juvenile was charged with possession of a weapon – specifically a knife — for an unlawful purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d, unlawful possession of a weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5d, and endangering the welfare of a child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. The juvenile is being detained in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center. ”

“Due to the fact that the individual charged with these offenses is a juvenile, the law prohibits the release of any additional information,” Billhimer said.

We’ve seen more detailed press releases from LEO press corps for those caught on shoplifting charges in the past, but when it comes to a grisly murder in a public parking lot, no details were released.

ATLANTIC CITY-Hirsh Singh, the Republican candidate challenging U.S. Senator Cory Booker said this week that the death of accused celebrity pedophile Jerry Epstein highlights the failure of trust in government in the United States.

Epstein, a high profile prisoner was found dead of suspected suicide in his jail cell while the government continued to comb through troves of documents and files that could link his lavish “Pedophile Island” to wealthy American elites, politicians and celebrities.

He was awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking.

“When truth is elusive it’s always better to wait before making a statement. So I waited, but the Epstein situation stinks,” Singh said. “Anyone who professes any policy that requires trust in government has been so thoroughly rebuked by Epstein’s death. This was a failure of the prison system, a failure of trust in government.”

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that Epstein was left unsupervised before his death.

The Wall Street Journal reported “Unusual irregularities” in the handling of Epstein in the Manhattan correctional facility.

Singh did not touch on conspiracy theories swirling around in the media and on social media regarding Epstein’s untimely demise, but his opponent Cory Booker lashed out at President Donald J. Trump over remarks made about Epstein’s suicide.

“Died of SUICIDE on 24/7 SUICIDE WATCH? Yeah right! How does that happen #JefferyEpstein had information on Bill Clinton & now he’s dead,” a message re-Tweeted by Trump read.

Booker Invokes Russian Conspiracy

“What he’s doing is dangerous, he’s giving light to conspiracy theorists and whipping people up to anger against different people in this country,” Booker said in a CNN interview “He is using the same tactics as the Russians to attack our democracy.”

Let’s face it, we all have friends who look like a famous actor, so we sometimes call them that.  In jest, a Trump supporter called CNN Fake News Anchor Chris Cuomo “Fredo” after the son of Godfather mob boss Don Corleone and Fredo lost his mind.

He even threatened physical violence against the fan, but pulled the Hollywood “I’m famous card” and said “Why so you can sue me?”

Not exactly how it would have played out if he was indeed Fredo.

Rush Limbaugh calls Cuomo Fredo and he doesn’t like it.

“Any of you Italian? It’s a [expletive]ing insult to your people. It’s an insult to your [expletive]ing people. It’s like the N-word for us. Is that a cool [expletive]ing thing,” Cuomo cried.

CNN backs their anchor in the profanity and violence laden rant the network’s spokesman said.

TOMS RIVER-American Legion Post 129 showed off their new Victory Garden along with Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, Mayor Thomas Kelaher, Councilwoman Laurie Huryk and Councilmen Terrance Turnbach and Maurice Hill.

According to Councilman Mo Hill in a statement released on his campaign Facebook page, “In WWI due to the rationing of food, the public was encouraged to plant War Gardens for fresh vegetables. In WWII they became known as Victory Gardens.”

The garden boxes at Post 129 were built with the help of local Boy Scouts and students from OCC.

“The gardeners were assisted by Fulfill’s Master Gardener, Jess Sinkhorn. The food will go to veterans and Fulfill. If you want to volunteer please contact American Legion Post 129 as they are looking for people with a green thumb,” Hill said. “Thanks to the American Legion Post 129, Fulfill of Ocean and Monmouth County, Ocean County College, the Jay and Linda Grunin foundation and the Boy Scouts for making this food supply a reality.”

The Ocean County Federation of Republican Women (OCFRW), partnered up this summer with the Salvation Army of Ocean County Citadel to host a contest for the Salvation Army’s summer camp kids. This was the first time the OCFRW has partnered with any group to host such a contest, with approximately 35 campers entering the contest themed “What America Means to Me”.

“When the Ocean County Federation of Republican Women proposed to us their idea for hosting a contest for our summer camp kids, we immediately thought it would be a fantastic opportunity for our campers to combine their artistic abilities, their sense of patriotism, competitive spirit and sense of fun into this worthwhile project open to all ages.” Said Major Steve Ditmer, Commanding Officer, The Salvation Army of Ocean County.

Contest participants were separated into two groups according to age, wherein the younger participants drew theme-related posters and the older participants submitted a hand-written them related essay.

While each age group received prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, all contest participants received a small gift from the OCFRW for their hard work and active interest in the project. “We were delighted that the Salvation Army gave our organization the opportunity to spend time with these terrific kids who went above and beyond in beautifully expressing their patriotic sentiments about America. We sincerely hope we will have the opportunity to work with the Salvation Army again next summer.” Said Noriko Kowalewski, Chairwoman, OCFRW.

NEW JERSEY-While Democrat Socialist Cory Booker is on the campaign trail raising donations for his political agendas just hours after two tragic mass shootings, his opponent Cory Booker took his campaign in a different direction.  He’s handing out free copies of the U.S. Constitution decked out in goofy ‘Merica gear.

“Even from a man in a silly hat, these kids in left-leaning Montclair are hungry for the US Constitution. Unfortunately, Cory Booker wasn’t there… he could use a copy,” Singh said.  “To win the U.S. Senate seat, we’ll have to compete in every town in the state and we have already begun. Thanks to the Montclair RepublicansEssex County NJ Republican Women, and @South Asian Republican Coalition.  God Bless America,” He said at a parade this summer.

In that book, the children who eagerly sought out the knowledge shall find, a passage called, “The Second Amendment”.  There they will find the words, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Singh is a supporter of responsible gun rights, ownership and conceal carry and opposes state laws in New Jersey that require “justifiable need” to carry a firearm by legal, law-abiding citizens.

TOMS RIVER-That’s right 3rd U.S. Congressional District, you voted for him.  He came to us as a devout radical leftist intent on overthrowing the U.S. Government from within through organized violent resistance.

That is until Shore News Network called him out on it along with Congressman Tom MacArthur.    Kim later said, “[Just kidding!]”   He promptly shut down his “Rise Stronger” left-wing call-to-arms and went mainstream on us.    He said of Rise Stronger, “[Ya, that was just something I was doing, it wasn’t serious or anything.]”

He went from promoting books by domestic leftist terrorists and cop killers to talking points such as veterans affairs, joint bases, income equality and whatever else he can bring up at town halls to get his constituents looking in the other direction.

But, like his pal Cory Booker, Andy went and did it.

He went full liberal.

Everyone knows you don’t go full liberal in Ocean County.

“In [American] white nationalist terrorism, we face a national security emergency on par with the Islamic State threat,” Comrade Kim said.  “It’s time for this country to come together and commit to action.”

If you couldn’t go more “full liberal”, Kim went on to compare America to wartorn Afghanistan while he served there as a civilian aide and note-taker, appointed by the Obama administration.

“Terrorism, in all its forms, must be condemned, rooted out and defeated. I worked with General Allen and Brett McGurk to fight back against terror in Afghanistan and while at the White House,” Kim muttered on Facebook.

Kim stopped short of going Cory Booker liberal and as far as I know has yet to try to raise campaign money on the backs of the dead in two recent horrific mass shootings.
