NEWARK, N.J. — A Mexican national who was previously deported, with convictions for indecent assault of a minor and DUI, is among 123 foreign nationals taken into custody during a month-long operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New Jersey. The operation, which was spearheaded by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), targeted at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and other immigration violators who had prior arrests or convictions for DUI.

Of those arrested during the operation, 90 percent had prior criminal convictions and/or pending criminal charges.

“The remarkable results of our officers and law enforcement partners highlight ICE’s ongoing commitment to public safety,” said John Tsoukaris, Field Office Director of ERO Newark. “This operation focuses on the arrest of individuals convicted of serious crimes and are a threat to public safety. Because of the targeted efforts of these professional and dedicated officers, there are 123 fewer criminals in our communities.”

The operation was supported by ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Brian Michael and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), under the direction of Troy Miller, Director, New York Field Office.

These individuals will go through removal proceedings before an Immigration Judge or for those under a final order of removal, arrangements will be made to remove them from the U.S.

The individuals arrested throughout New Jersey were nationals of Brazil (3), Costa Rica (3), Dominican Republic (1), Ecuador (16), El Salvador (8), Guatemala (24), Honduras (14), Jamaica (1), Mexico (41), Nicaragua (1), Peru (6), Poland (2), Spain (2), and Trinidad (1).

These individuals were arrested in the following counties in New Jersey: Bergen (4), Burlington (4), Camden (4), Cumberland (9), Essex (13), Hudson (8), Mercer (10), Middlesex (14), Monmouth (12), Morris (10), Ocean (3), Passaic (2), Somerset (6), and Union (23). Also, one (1) individual was arrested in Pennsylvania.

They range from age 19 to 56 years old and the great majority were arrested or previously convicted of driving under the influence. Some individuals also had arrests or convictions for sexual assault on a minor, child abuse, possession of narcotics, distribution of narcotics, fraud, criminal restraint, domestic violence, possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child, fraud, promoting gambling, shoplifting, burglary, forgery and illegal reentry.

  • In Red Bank, a 30-year-old Mexican national, who has convictions for DUI and endangering the welfare of a child;
  • In Princeton, a 38-year-old previously deported Guatemalan national, who has convictions for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon
  • In Morristown, a 50-year-old Honduran national, who has convictions for DUI and burglary;
  • In Newark, a 41-year-old Peruvian national, who has convictions for DUI, distribution of marijuana, shoplifting, and promoting gambling;
  • In Somerset, a 32-year-old Mexican national, who has convictions for DUI and endangering abuse/neglect of a person;
  • In Plainfield, a 42-year-old previously deported Ecuadorian national, who has a prior conviction for criminal sexual contact and a recent arrest for DUI;
  • In West New York, a 27-year-old previously deported Honduran national, who has a conviction for criminal restraint/risk serious bodily injury and active warrants for the offenses of DUI, domestic violence and disorderly conduct.;
  • In Neptune, a 39-year-old Mexican national, who has convictions for DUI, endangering-sexual contact with a minor, unlawful taking a means of conveyance and simple assault;
  • In Hamilton, a 38-year-old previously deported Mexican national, who has convictions for DUI and indecent assault of a minor;

ICE deportation officers conduct targeted enforcement operations every day in locations around the country as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to protect the nation, uphold public safety and protect the integrity of our immigration laws and border controls. During targeted enforcement operations, ICE officers frequently encounter additional suspects who may be in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. Those persons will be evaluated on a case by case basis and, when appropriate, arrested by ICE.

Is state letter to Facebook a challenge against anti-semitism or assault against free speech in New Jersey?

TOMS RIVER, NJ-A popular and growing Facebook page, “Rise Up Ocean County” (RUOC) is under attack from Governor Phil Murphy’s administration.   The page, whose author is unknown has been scruitinized by members of the Lakewood Orthodox Jewish commmunity as being anti-semitic, but page owners claim the page is nothing more than an information resource for residents upset with overdevelopment and an ever-changing community lifestyle.

The anonymous operators of the page say they are just focusing on the rapid development in Toms River, Lakewood and Jackson Townships and the growing pains associated with the growth of the Orthodox Jewish community on their own community.   But Murphy administration officials say there’s more to it.

Rachel Apter, the Director of the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights has asked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to shut down the page.  The request comes after months of lobbying the Attorney General’s Office and even the Governor’s Office by the community to take action.

“Mr. Zuckerberg: On behalf of the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights (DCR), I am writing to bring to your attention the Rise Up Ocean County Facebook page and the comments that appear on that page inciting violence against Orthodox Jews,” Apter wrote to Zuckerberg. “The New Jersey Legislature created DCR nearly seventy-five years ago to enforce the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and “prevent and eliminate discrimination” in New Jersey.  N.J.S.A. § 10:5-6. In addition to investigating and prosecuting complaints of discrimination, DCR also takes proactive steps to prevent acts of bias, prejudice and discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, disability, and other characteristics protected by the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. It is in that capacity that I write to bring the Rise Up Ocean County (RUOC) Facebook page to your attention.”

Some view the state’s action against a private media entity an attack on their own freedom of speech. Afterall, if hate crimes are being commited by members of the page, shoulnd’t the Attorney General’s office have filed charges?  Since there is no basis at this time for criminal proceedings, the government appears to be side-stepping due process that should be afforded to the operators of the page, regardless of whether or not anyone agrees with or condemns their actions.

The RUOC Facebook page appears to have been created in late 2018 to oppose what it calls the overdevelopment of Lakewood, New Jersey, by Orthodox Jews,” Apter admitted.

In  her letter, she added athat the page states that “[q]uality of life in Ocean County is under assault, we are organizing to restrict the development and preserve our quality of life.” In a video posted on its Facebook page, the group predicts that Lakewood’s population will double  by 2030 and refers to an oncoming “colonization” that it claims is being led by a number of Orthodox Jewish rabbis who “control the fate of Lakewood.”

The DCR noted posts by members of the community posting on the page, but not posts by the administrators of the page themselves for her basis to have the page shut down. If this was the norm on social media, the entire Facebook platform should be shut down if page administrators should bear the full responsibility of the users on that page.

While some of the referenced comments are obscene, rude and dangerous, the page administrators frequently remind their page fans to obey and follow the rules set forth by Facebook and to not engage in hate speech.

You can read the full letter here.

“Since we have the attention of the New Jersey Attorney General and more specifically Civil Rights Director Rachel Wainer Apte, we can find no more egregious example of the violation of civil rights than the Lakewood Tenants Organization,” RUOC replied in response to the Murphy administration.

Instead the administrators said since the OAG and DCR offices are now investigating, they should also investigate matters they felt were also of importance:

1.An investigation into how Meir Hertz came to head this organization and why he is paid so much money.

2. An investigation into why Hispanics represent 19% of the population but just 3% of those benefiting from affordable housing.

3. An investigation into why federal funds earmarked for affordable housing were loaned to Tashbar School (remember, Hertz is the CEO at the school) instead of being utilized for affordable housing

4. An investigation into why federal funds earmarked for affordable housing were loaned to a private developer (remember, that developer is the brother of Hertz)

To date, no criminal charges have been filed against RUOC and this appears to be the government of the State of New Jersey circumventing the law to achieve its goal of shutting down the page to appease the community with very close ties to Governor Phil Murphy himself.  If no charges have been filed and no crimes have been committed, why then, is the State of New Jersey attacking the citizens’ right to free speech.  Whether or not you agree with the RUOC page, if a hate crime has been committed, it’s the state’s obligation to investigate and file criminal charges.

If the state is successful in shutting down RUOC, what is next? A letter to Mark Zuckerberg against conservative news media?  Pages that disagree with the Attorney General’s immigration directives?  Pages that disagree with New Jersey’s ridiculous bail reform laws?  Republican organization pages that disagree with the Governor or his allies?  Or dare I say a complete shutdown against any government dissent in New Jersey?

When I was Marine during the Cold War, we had a name for all of this.  That name was communism.

NEW YORK CITY-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Friday went all in with her own brand of tokenism for a little bit of pandering to an African-American audience at the National Action Network.  She apparently channeled her inner Barack Obama, who was also known for putting on a little mustard during his tenure for black audiences.

She then told the room that there’s nothing wrong with menial labor jobs…afterall it was she who dashed the hopes of New Yorkers to get out of those jobs and lose out on 25,000 high paying Amazon jobs.

“Ocasio-Cortez speaks in an accent that she never uses while telling a room of predominately black people that there is nothing wrong with them folding clothes, cooking, and driving other people around on a bus for a living,” said the Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is speaking in front of a predominately Black audience, and she is using this weird “Ebonics” accent in her voice.She damn near sounds like Diamond & Silk,” said African American film producer Tariq Nasheed.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said the Cortez accent was fake.

Of course, Cortez responded to the backlash of using a fake accent by claiming it was real…and she’s once again a victim.

TRENTON-One week after Jorge Rios, an illegal immigrant hiding in sanctuary in New Jersey killed Lincoln Park jogger Carolina Cano, New Jersey’s Attorney General is doubling down on his fight against President Donald Trump to secure America’s southern border.

“We’ve said it from the start: the President has no right to take taxpayer money that New Jersey counts on and spend it on an unnecessary border wall. Today, we’re seeking an immediate order to stop those efforts. I’m proud to stand up for New Jersey residents – including our immigrant communities,” Grewal said.

New Jersey’s battle for public safety has turned into a partisan battleground where progressive socialist Governor Phil Murphy and Attorney General Grewal have dug in, according to a significant portion of their constituents, on the wrong side of the fence.

Grewal and Murphy have ensured that New Jersey police officers don’t cooperate with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Officers, now want to stop the construction of the border wall along the U.S.-Mexican border.

New Jersey GOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt today lashed out at Murphy’s actions that continually threaten the lives and safety of New Jersey residents.

“Governor Murphy’s Sanctuary State policy is DANGEROUS! NJ needs to come together and tell Governor Phil Murphy to end NJ’s Sanctuary State status before we endure another tragedy,” Steinhardt said.

Steinhardt said that this year, every state assembly seat in the New Jersey State Assembly is up for grabs and encouraged voters to remember to vote in November in what he has dubbed the Murphy Midterms.

After Grewal announced his continued fight against border security in America, President Donald J. Trump reported in from the border to report the progress on newly constructed sections of the wall.

“Just checked out the new Wall on the Border,” Trump said. “Great! Within two years we will have close to 400 miles built or under construction & keeping our Country SAFE – not easy when the Dems are always fighting to stop you!”

BERKELEY – Mayor Carmen F. Amato, Jr., announced that Berkeley Township has been awarded a $365,000 New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Program grant to fund roadway improvements in the municipality.

“I am pleased to have received notification from Commissioner Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti of the Department of Transportation notifying us of the grant award. I want to thank the department for looking favorable upon our application and our Township Engineer Alan Dittenhofer for submitting our application.” Mayor Amato said.

Berkeley submitted an application for the final improvement of Jamaica Boulevard, a major thoroughfare in the Township. Because of the length of Jamaica Boulevard, we chose to improve this thoroughfare over 3 years.

Councilman at Large John Bacchione, who serves as the Chairman of the Council’s Finance Committee said, “Grant funding, such as the Department of Transportation Municipal Aid Program, is critical to assisting the Township in maintaining our roadways.”

“As I have said numerous times, Berkeley Township is 42 square miles and has 271 miles of roadways including 300 Courts, cul-de-sacs and dead ends. We rely on alternative funding such as grants to assist the township in funding these capital projects.” Mayor Amato said.

This total estimated cost of the work is $458,000. The balance of the funding will come from the townships 2019 Capital budget.

New Jersey Assemblyman Ryan Peters is out to thwart Governor Phil Murphy’s rain tax by urging municipalities to not use mother nature and Murphy’s bad idea to fund their local governments.

“I’ll be reaching out to every mayor, deputy mayor and council member I can to implore them not to crush our residents with another new tax,” Peters said. “If I can get enough towns to band together, hopefully, more will follow and residents and businesses won’t ever have to see a rain tax added to their monthly bills.”

He blamed Murphy and his Democrats for using rain as a way to further shakedown New Jersey taxpayers.

“When Democrats introduced this, they justified it by saying towns need a funding source to treat stormwater runoff. I’m sorry, but are the state’s highest property taxes in the nation not enough of a funding source?” Peters added. “This won’t only create another tax separate from what property taxpayers and business owners pay, but it will also create another level of bureaucracy and salaries that any new revenue will go towards funding. Towns have public works and other departments that budget property taxes to handle this.”

WASHINGTON, DC- Senator Mitt Romney today admitted there is a border security crisis at America’s southern border.

“Border security is not a partisan issue—it’s an American issue. There is a real crisis right now at our southern border. We’re at a rate of about one million people a year trying to illegally enter our country, which means we cannot properly evaluate, investigate, and vet these individuals,” he said. “It’s a real security risk. We’ve got to put aside the partisan bickering and do the right thing for American citizens and those trying to come to our country legally.”

TOMS RIVER-The rape and murder of a woman in Jersey City by an illegal immigrant who was deported twice, highlights the dangers of sanctuary cities within our state, Senator Holzapfel and Assemblymen Greg McGuckin and Dave Wolfe (all R-10) today said.

The lawmakers, outraged by this preventable tragedy, released the following statement sounding off on the threat to public safety caused by sanctuary cities:

“Sanctuary cities jeopardize the safety of millions of our residents, and the life of a young woman has been taken away because our state chooses to arrogantly disregard federal law,” said Senator Holzapfel. “We must not allow criminals, such as Rios to slip through the cracks in our immigration system.”

Jorge Rios, of Honduras, entered the country illegally and was deported on two prior occasions in 2003 and 2004. He was charged with the murder of a woman who was jogging in Jersey City and faces 30 years in prison before he is deported yet again.

“Now this illegal immigrant will have his taxpayer-funded day in court with a taxpayer-funded lawyer where he will end up in a taxpayer-funded prison for years before being deported for a third time,” stated Assemblyman McGuckin. “This man should have never been in our country in the first place.”

Recently the legislators have expressed their opposition to a bill (S-3229/A-4743) which would allow the State to issue a driver’s license to persons who are “unable to prove lawful presence in the United States.”

The legislation is part of Governor Phil Murphy’s effort to turn New Jersey into a sanctuary state.

“Jorge Rios is yet another example of how the Democrats in our state pursue their political agenda at the expense of an innocent, law-abiding citizen,” added Assemblyman Wolfe.

When NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover landed in 2012, it brought along eclipse glasses. The solar filters on its Mast Camera (Mastcam) allow it to stare directly at the Sun. Over the past few weeks, Curiosity has been putting them to good use by sending back some spectacular imagery of solar eclipses caused by Phobos and Deimos, Mars’ two moons.

Phobos, which is about 7 miles (11.5 kilometers) across, was imaged on March 26, 2019 (the 2,359th sol, or Martian day, of Curiosity’s mission); Deimos, which is about 1.5 miles (2.3 kilometers) across, was photographed on March 17, 2019 (Sol 2350). Phobos doesn’t completely cover the Sun, so it would be considered an annular eclipse. Because Deimos is so small compared to the disk of the Sun, scientists would say it’s transiting the Sun.

In addition to capturing each moon crossing in front of the Sun, one of Curiosity’s Navigation Cameras (Navcams) observed the shadow of Phobos on March 25, 2019 (Sol 2358). As the moon’s shadow passed over the rover during sunset, it momentarily darkened the light.

Solar eclipses have been seen many times by Curiosity and other rovers in the past. Besides being cool — who doesn’t love an eclipse? — these events also serve a scientific purpose, helping researchers fine-tune their understanding of each moon’s orbit around Mars.

Before the Spirit and Opportunity rovers landed in 2004, there was much higher uncertainty in the orbit of each moon, said Mark Lemmon of Texas A&M University, College Station, a co-investigator with Curiosity’s Mastcam. The first time one of the rovers tried to image Deimos eclipsing the Sun, they found the moon was 25 miles (40 kilometers) away from where they expected.

“More observations over time help pin down the details of each orbit,” Lemmon said. “Those orbits change all the time in response to the gravitational pull of Mars, Jupiter or even each Martian moon pulling on the other.”

These events also help make Mars relatable, Lemmon said: “Eclipses, sunrises and sunsets and weather phenomena all make Mars real to people, as a world both like and unlike what they see outside, not just a subject in a book.”

To date, there have been eight observations of Deimos eclipsing the Sun from either Spirit, Opportunity or Curiosity; there have been about 40 observations of Phobos. There’s still a margin of uncertainty in the orbits of both Martian moons, but that shrinks with every eclipse that’s viewed from the Red Planet’s surface.

NASA is a step closer to returning astronauts to the Moon in the next five years following a successful engine test on Thursday at NASA’s Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The latest “hot fire” was the culmination of four-plus years of testing for the RS-25 engines that will send the first four Space Launch System (SLS) rockets into space.

“This completes four years of focused work by an exceptional Stennis test team,” Stennis Director Rick Gilbrech said. “It represents yet another chapter in Stennis’ long history of testing leadership and excellence in support of this nation’s space exploration efforts. Everyone involved should feel proud of their work and contributions.”

Thursday’s hot fire on Stennis’ A-1 Test Stand completed:

  • Acceptance testing of all 16 former space shuttle main engines that will help launch the first four SLS missions. NASA has contracted with Aerojet Rocketdyne to build new RS-25 engines for additional SLS missions, and work already is underway to do so in the company’s factory in Canoga Park, California.
  • Developmental and flightworthy testing for new controllers (plus one spare) to be used by the heritage RS-25 engines for the first four missions.
  • A 51-month test series that demonstrated RS-25 engines can perform at the higher power level needed to launch the super heavy-lift SLS rocket.

“Engines are now a ‘go’ for missions to send astronauts forward to the Moon to learn and prepare for missions to Mars,” said Johnny Heflin, deputy manager of the SLS Liquid Engines Office at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. “We’re ready to provide the power to explore the Moon and beyond.”

The RS-25 rocket engine test era began Jan. 9, 2015, with a 500-second – more than 8 minutes – hot fire of RS-25 developmental engine No. 0525 on the A-1 Test Stand at Stennis. NASA tested the first SLS flight engine on March 10, 2016. Altogether, the agency has conducted 32 developmental and flight engine tests for a total of 14,754 seconds – more than four hours – of cumulative hot fire – all on the A-1 stand at Stennis.

Having launched 135 space shuttle missions, these main engines are considered the most tested engines in the world. When the Space Shuttle Program ended in 2011, NASA still had 16 engines that ultimately were modified for SLS.

These engines were originally designed to perform at a certain power level, known as 100 percent. Over time, the engines were upgraded to operate at higher and higher power levels, up to 104.5 percent operating power level by the end of the shuttle program. For SLS, that operating level has to be pushed even higher.

To help accomplish that, and to interface with new rocket avionics systems, NASA designed and tested a new engine controller, which serves as the “brain” of the engine to help monitor engine operation and facilitate communication between the engine and rocket. Early developmental testing at Stennis provided critical information for designing the new controller.

The first new flight engine controller was tested at Stennis in March 2017, with a string of controller hot fires to follow. The April 4 test marked the testing of the 17th engine controller for use on SLS flights, providing enough for all 16 heritage RS-25 engines.

With development of the new controllers, NASA had to test the new power level as well. First, it was demonstrated that the engine could perform at the needed 111 percent power level. Next, NASA needed to prove a margin of operating safety.

In February 2018, operators pushed the engine to 113 percent power for a total of 50 seconds. It lengthened that firing time in two subsequent tests, until late this February, when the engine was fired at 113 percent power for 430 seconds of a 510-second test.

That set the stage for Thursday’s successful test of flight engine No. 2062. When this specific engine fires again, it will help send astronauts aboard Orion around the Moon on a test flight known as Exploration Mission-2.

The president’s direction from Space Policy Directive-1 galvanizes NASA to return to the Moon and builds on progress on the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft, efforts with commercial and international partners, and knowledge gained from the current robotic presence at the Moon and Mars.

WASHINGTON, DC-Democrats are at it again, shaking Americans down for the change they have in their pockets.  This time, it’s shifty Adam Schiff.

Here’s an email he recently sent…

I’ll keep this quick:

I need you to pitch in $1 right away to help us fight back against Trump and his harmful administration.

Every day, this president does damage to our country and its institutions.

He declared a phony national emergency to redirect money from protecting the troops to his ineffective and expensive border wall.

Let’s be absolutely clear — the real national emergency is his anti-health care agenda.

Trump’s budget would decimate Medicare and Medicaid, while funding a wall that the American people — and Congress — have flat-out rejected.

And to make matters even worse, his administration just asked the courts to completely strike down the Affordable Care Act, which would kick millions off their insurance and eliminate protections for pre-existing conditions.

Unlike President Trump and the GOP, I believe everyone deserves affordable and accessible health care.

I won’t stand by and let Trump put American families and seniors at risk, and I know you won’t either.

That’s why I’m counting on you.

Will you rush in $1 to protect and expand our Majority before our first End of Quarter Deadline in 7 hours?

-Adam Schiff

Andy Kim’s Campaign Repackages Chicago Socialist’s Campaign Ad for Use in New Jersey

WASHINGTON, DC-The newly elected socialist freshman class continue to “Out Left” each other every day.

New Jersey Congressman Andy Kim has been busy in his first three months in Congress.  When he’s not raising money, blocking border security bills, supporting illegal immigrants’ right to vote and supporting infanticide, he finds time to criticize Republicans, even though he’s the most bi-partisan Congressman to ever walk the halls of Congress.

While pretty much every vote Kim has made has been down the party line with his partners, Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Kim, at least publicly has to play it safe.

That’s because on social media and in campaign advertising he has to appear bi-partisan in order to not be a one-term congressman which he is currently destined to become.

On Wednesday, Kim, through the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said “Republican attacks on health care make us sick,” depicting a young boy at a doctor’s office visit.

But just days before that his own party blocked a bill in the U.S. Senate that would block abortions at birth was struck down by Senate Democrats, so if anyone is putting children at risk, it’s the party that wishes to extinguish their life at birth.

Kim’s statement criticized Republicans for wanting to repeal Obamacare and claims the party is trying to terminate pre-existing conditions, which is false.

Not only was Kim’s message off-target this week, but it wasn’t even his own message.

Kim’s platform, “straight outta Chicago”.

DCCC press initially sent out Kim’s statement with a graphic made for Lauren Underwood who represents Chicago’s 14th district.

For Kim’s outright lie and his regurgitation of another Congress member’s advertisement, we issue a “Pinocchio Alert”.

TOMS RIVER-The Jackson Liberty Lions led Donovan Catholic 5-4 in the second inning, but the Griffons mounted a 10 run rally to win their first game 17-7.

Starting pitcher Lindsay Nelson struggled, giving up 5 runs in just 2 innings, allowing 6 hits.  In relief, Kait Mulchahey finished the game, striking out 9 and giving up just two runs through the next four innings.

Karina Gaskins and Victoria Federico each drove in 4 runs.  Gaskins and Jayda Kearny both went 4-5.

For Liberty, Emily Dubiago went 3-4 and freshman Jessica Cannestro drove in 3 runs.

Donovan had 22 hits and 4 errors while Liberty had just 9 hits and 2 errors in the game.

Kayla Roncin and Jayda Kearny each celebrated their 100th career hit on Monday.

NEW YORK CITY-Ironically, the woman who recently doubted the feasibility of women having babies is going through a staffing crisis that she admits has contributed to the delay of her office opening in New York.

“Swing by our office! We’ve barely had time to hang anything up, three of my staffers are expecting babies, and we’ve got a bach pad/warehouse type situation out here,” the socialist Democrat tweeted.  “SOS!”

Despite Cortez sounding the doomsday warning alarm against human reproduction, her staff apparently thinks it’s ok to have babies.

BRICK TOWNSHIP-Since 2011, Democrats in Brick Township have swept every single election at town hall and this year, they are hoping to keep their blue wave rolling.  The Democrats announced the candidacy of incumbents Art Halloran, Lisa Crate, and Andrea Zapcic.  The three are part of the Ducey Team, staunch allies of Governor Phil Murphy.   Joining the incumbents will be Teamster Vincent Minichino.

The takeover of Brick Township from Republicans was masterminded over the years by Democrat consultant and operative Mitch Seim, a former Lakewood Township County Democrat Committeeman, but Seim could be facing his first legitimate opposition after being dealt severe blows in 2018, losing badly in elections in neighboring Jackson and Howell Township.  Seim serves as consigliere to Mayor John Ducey and the Brick Democrat Council, according to insiders in the party.

Finding Democrat votes in Brick Township might be harder this year for Seim and his team after state Democrats have seized millions of dollars in school funding from the local school district.  Brick Township School District is now suing the state and Governor Phil Murphy to restore funding taken from the students by the budget crafted by Steve Sweeney and Murphy.   Despite having complete control over the Brick Township governing bodies, local Democrats have been unable to persuade Murphy to reinstate funding after months of protests and talks.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-She’s finally did it.  She’s gone full.  She’s lost her mind. Today, Alexandria has completely lost her mind.

“At least I’m not trying to cage children at the border and inject them with drugs,” she said with a swirl of her judgmental elitist index finger. “That’s a mistake. That is a deliberate policy to attack people based on their national origin. That’s not a mistake, that’s just hatred. That’s just cruelty. That’s just wro-o-o-ng!”

Cortez did not, however, reveal her opinions on alien technology research at Area 51, chemtrails, the Illuminati, where a live Elvis might be living or go into detail about how America faked the moon landings.

The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol did not acknowledge or respond to the 29-year-old Congresswoman’s unhinged rant.

Law enforcement officers from the Barnegat Township Police Department will be cracking down on distracted drivers during April as part of New Jersey’s UDrive. UText. UPay. enforcement campaign.

Beginning April 1 and running through April 21, the high visibility law enforcement initiative will target motorists who engage in dangerous distracted driving behaviors such as talking on hand-held cell phones and sending text messages while driving.

“Distracted driving is possibly the most serious safety issue on our roadways today,” said Eric Heitmann, Director of the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety. “The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that in 2015 alone, 3,477 people were killed in distracted driving crashes and an estimated 391,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver.”

In New Jersey, driver inattention was listed as a contributing circumstance in 52 percent of the state’s crashes in 2015. Driver inattention was in fact listed as a contributing factor in crashes at a rate nine times higher than that of the next highest contributing factor (speed).

The campaign is being carried out during the month of April, which the National Safety Council has designated as Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The New Jersey campaign is modeled after similar successful high visibility enforcement programs such as Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

TOMS RIVER-The money raised by the “Rebuilding Our Schools Initiative” referendum from earlier this year is finally being spent, according to the Toms River Regional School District.

Today, the district showcased the lighting renovation done at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex on Hooper Avenue, more affectionally referred to as “The Bubble”.

The project was part of the district’s $147 million budget referendum.

The district, however, is still fighting the State of New Jersey who has cut millions of dollars of state aid from their annual operating budget.

NEWARK-After the brutal murder of a Carolina Cano in a Jersey City Park, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Newark office criticized Governor Phil Murphy and New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.

ICE said it will not let the directive by New Jersey’s Democrat leaders further protect Jorge Rios, 33, of Honduras, who is suspected of committing the murder.

The agency said, despite Rios being charged with murder, sexual assault and kidnapping, the state of New Jersey is still not cooperating.

“ICE maintains that cooperation by local law enforcement is an indispensable component of promoting public safety.  ICE Will seek taking custody of Rios-Doblado at the conclusion of his criminal proceedings, despite limited cooperation with the state.”

Attorney General Gurbir Grewal doubled down on his defiance against ICE detainers today stating that neither his office nor New Jersey law enforcement officers enforce civil deportation orders.
