One Maryland player is holding a ticket worth $20K after matching five numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
BALTIMORE, Md. — A Mega Millions ticket sold at a downtown Baltimore convenience store is worth $20K after one player came close to hitting the massive jackpot in Tuesday night’s drawing.
The Maryland Lottery announced that the winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 38 South Paca Street in Baltimore.
The ticket matched four of the first five numbers drawn and the Mega Ball in the June 23 drawing. The winning numbers were 48, 51, 60, 63 and 66, with a Mega Ball of 20.
The base prize for matching those numbers is $10,000, but the ticket included an automatic X2 multiplier, doubling the prize to $20,000.
Lottery officials said this is the sixth $20K third-tier Mega Millions winner sold in Maryland this month.
No one matched all six numbers to claim the jackpot, which has been rolling since it was last won on March 10.
Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated annuity value of $489 million, with a cash option of $220.9 million.
Maryland Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them in a safe place. Draw game prizes must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing date.
