BALTIMORE, MD. — A Baltimore player hit the $50,000 jackpot in the Dec. 2 evening Pick 5 drawing using a combination of numbers inspired by his late parents’ birth dates.

The dedicated lottery player had been rotating personal number combinations in the daily drawings for years, narrowly missing the winning numbers on several occasions. His persistence finally paid off when his chosen numbers were drawn, bringing him his largest win to date.

The lucky winner, who previously won $25,000 playing Pick 5 in 2024, plans to use the prize money to purchase a house and a used car. His girlfriend shared in the excitement, saying the win brought him so much joy that he couldn’t stop singing for weeks.

Fox Liquors, the retailer located at 1301 North Fulton Avenue in Baltimore, will also celebrate the win with a $500 Lottery bonus for selling the $50,000 ticket.
