Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Police Department has announced the arrests of two individuals in connection with a violent armed robbery and assault that occurred on Thursday evening. The incident took place at approximately 10:05 p.m. in the 200 block of South Madeira Street.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery and found the victim had been punched to the ground. The suspects reportedly continued to strike the victim with their hands and feet before taking the victim’s property and fleeing the scene on foot.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Montaz Bailey and a 15-year-old male in relation to the crime. A handgun was recovered, as well as the stolen property belonging to the victim.

Police Commissioner Worley commented on the incident, calling it horrific and expressing concern over crimes committed by young people. Worley emphasized the necessity of addressing the lack of consequences and accountability, stating that such incidents undermine the efforts of the Baltimore Police Department and erode community trust.
