Tinton Falls, NJ – A pair of six-year-old sibling cats is looking for a new home after the loss of their owner, with shelter staff emphasizing that the two must be adopted together.

Cucumber and Pickles are currently being cared for at the Associated Humane Societies location in Tinton Falls, where they have remained side by side through the transition. Staff say the cats rely on each other for comfort and companionship.

Shelter highlights strong bond between siblings

Cucumber, described as a calm and gentle cat, arrived at the shelter following his owner’s death. Throughout the experience, he has remained closely attached to his sister, Pickles.

“The two are incredibly close—napping together, keeping each other company, and navigating everything as a team,” the organization shared.
