Brick seniors fill dance floor at annual prom as students join celebration

Brick, NJ – Music, dancing, and packed tables filled Brick Township’s Civic Plaza as senior residents gathered for one of the community’s most anticipated traditions — the Annual Senior Prom.

Held Friday, May 1, the event brought together seniors from across Brick Township for an evening of dinner, dancing, photos, and live entertainment designed to celebrate the township’s older residents while creating connections across generations.

Guests enjoyed a catered meal, souvenir photos, and hours on the dance floor as volunteers from the Mayor’s Student Advisory Committee helped serve dinner and desserts throughout the night.

Students Helped Turn Event Into Intergenerational Celebration

Many of the student volunteers did more than help with food service. Organizers said students joined attendees on the dance floor, spent time socializing with guests, and helped create an atmosphere that blended nostalgia with community spirit.

The annual event has become a signature gathering in Brick Township, offering seniors a chance to reconnect with friends, enjoy a night out, and participate in a formal celebration often modeled after a traditional high school prom.

Township officials highlighted the role younger volunteers played in making the evening memorable for attendees.
