Council approves one-year agreement with Tyler Technologies for maintenance of public safety system

Brick Township, NJ — Brick Township officials have approved a $208,103 contract to maintain and support the police department’s public safety software system, according to a newly adopted resolution.

The Township Council awarded the one-year contract to Tyler Technologies, Inc., a Michigan-based company that provides the New World Public Safety Software Suite used by the Brick Township Police Department.

Contract covers critical police system

The agreement runs from March 1, 2026, through February 28, 2027, and covers maintenance and technical support for the department’s core software platform.

Officials said the contract exceeds the $17,500 threshold, triggering a required disclosure process under New Jersey law.

The funding will come from the township’s Data Processing – CPU Maintenance Contract budget line.

Compliance and disclosure requirements met

As part of the approval process, Tyler Technologies submitted required certifications stating it has not made reportable political contributions to local candidates or committees within the past year.

The contract also prohibits such contributions during its term, in compliance with state pay-to-play laws.

Additional documentation, including a Political Contribution Disclosure Form and ownership disclosures, has been filed with the township.
