Brick Township, NJ – Firefighters brought a structure fire under control at an apartment building on Northrup Drive after heavy flames tore through the first floor of a home, officials said. Laurelton Fire Company No. 1 was first due to the scene after receiving reports of a structure fire late last night. Upon arrival, crews encountered significant fire conditions on the first floor and immediately began suppression operations.
Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent further spread within the structure, bringing the incident under control in a short time. Mutual aid departments responded to assist, providing additional manpower and resources during the operation.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not released. An investigation into the origin of the blaze was ongoing.
