Bronx knife attack leaves woman injured as nypd searches for suspect

A verbal dispute on a Bronx street escalated into a violent slashing, leaving a woman injured and a suspect on the run.

Bronx, NY – Police are searching for a suspect accused of slashing a woman in the back of the neck during an assault Friday evening in the Bronx.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:27 p.m. in front of 395 East 167th Street within the confines of the 44th Precinct. According to the NYPD, a 29-year-old woman was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified man when the confrontation turned violent.

Authorities said the suspect displayed a knife and slashed the victim before fleeing westbound on foot toward Clay Avenue.

Suspect remains at large following street attack

The victim sustained injuries to the back of her neck. Her condition has not been publicly disclosed.
